With the update the app immediately says the etching is done even when it does nothing. I didn’t do the update on my IPad Pro and didn’t have any issues with the laser working. Is there anyone who knows how to program writing this app???!!! ### 1/5 — Can’t connect to lp1 *2024-12-15, version 5.8.0* I cannot get it to connect to my LP1. What am I doing wrong?! It used to work ### 1/5 — Software is less than adequate *2024-12-13* The software limits the ability of the laser I do not recommend either. How can they produce such a great laser engraver, but the software is virtually unusable? It is pathetic, that the Chinese cannot make a better software to use????????? What a waste. ### 1/5 — New update problems On LP4 *2024-08-20* First, multiple slide extension takes multiple tries to upload to the laser. It will initially only load one file and you have re-upload it a couple of times in order for it to work, killing productivity. You can’t batch engrave anymore with this function either so if you try to load and engrave directly from the LP4 now, it will only do the first file in the group. Second, G-Code is misaligned to the preview. I’ve tried on multiple files, unplugged the machine etc. G-code that was once flawless, is now practically useless. Third, rotary dimensions are way off. I have to decrease by at least 7 millimeters in order to get close to a proper rotation. Fourth, the power and depth have been overall changed, this is inconvenient for those of us who learned the machine and need consistent production. This is unacceptable software for a ≈$2500 hardware. ### 1/5 — Broken! *2024-08-08, version 5.5.0* Your latest update is broken and my machine cannot connect. Please fix immediately!!! When I pick not sharing, the app crashes. LaserPecker, please stop this stupidity. I recommend it to all.just wish there were more instructions with it,On how to run the app and do designs. But best product ever. ### 3/5 — Sometimes Irritating *2026-03-15* I’m no graphics expert, but using this app is OK. It does the simple things I need. However there are two changes I have recently noticed, and they are aggravating. First, the app recently forced me to repeat a safety instruction course online, even though I have been using it with my LP2 for nearly a year. I did a safety tutorial when I first got the unit. I can understand requiring a repeat if a user has not used the app for a long time, but I use it several times a month. Second, I can no longer compose a job without powering up my unit. The app pretends it will still allow a workup, bit when I add a picture, it will not actually appear in the workspace, intil the LP2 is on and paired. This was not a problem for the first six months or so. It baffles me why the app designers/aggravators would do this. ### 3/5 — You put ads in here? jerks *2024-12-12, version 5.8.0* Pay 2k for a laser machine to have ads in the app ### 3/5 — For those that want to control their laser with an app *2023-12-13, version 5.3.5* This app allows you to wirelessly connect to your LP laser, and do some of what you can do on a laptop, in a simpler manner. It is a work in progress and needs improvement, but is getting regular updates. ### 2/5 — Only for the most basic of editing *2025-06-15* The only way to use this software is to edit in another program, take a screenshot of the b/w image, and upload it.
