I even bought a small upgrade. After awhile, the game needs you to feed it more money. Or you’ll be stuck at the same level for weeks. Normally I’d spend more money on a good game, but this game literally made me fed up with its pay to win scheme. ### 3/5 — A warning to new players *2026-07-03, version 1.7.5* They keep asking if you like the game and then for you to give them a rating. Here is the trick, they do it in the early honeymoon part of the game. Soon you will hit the grind, even if you have bought in to all the monthly and lifetime boons, and purchased the various packs, you will hit the wall. This one one of the most expensive pay to play games out there. The ADS are crazy long if you try to play for free, prepare to stare at the screen and have to multi click through two to three extra clicks. The energy refresh rate is horribly slow, so even if you sunk some serious money in the game, you are waiting for hours to hit the wall again. You have been warned. ### 2/5 — Gigavolt is bugged *2026-06-30, version 1.7.5* I have an epic 'Gigavolt' that is definitely bugged. He starts weak and every upgrade only gives 4 dmg. No extra bounces, nothing else. So even upgraded, my commons still are ten times stronger. I think his ricochet/bounces/recharge are meant to also increase to make up for the pathetic dmg. Other than that i would say it is a below avg game with above avg ads. Not only are there way too many ads required to play, but they are way too long. The music, animations and game structure are very well crafted. If anything, I’d like to see more development of the game’s central narrative concept in a structured plot. ### 4/5 — Fun game, major grind *2026-04-11, version 1.1.4* The game itself is good fun, plenty of variety for weapons, towers and enemies. However, the ability to progress and unlock these weapons and towers is a bit of a joke. Not enough experience gained, and too much experience needed to level up and unlock features. Someone else already posted about it and obviously haven’t done anything about it so there’s that. Secondly, I played the other game just like this one only with elementals, same thing….the difficulty gets ridiculously hard!! Love the mechanics of the game!! I think the perks could be upgraded a little bit, maybe not punish as bad for taking the recommended tower/people!! To compensate the game being stupid hard even on low low levels!! I’m on the 4th map and can’t do the required 20 waves!! AT LEVEL 4???? REALLY GUYS?? I get it that the bottom line is to make money but for loyal customers like myself that like these games……..I’m not spending a dime on a free to play so I guess I’m kinda talking about the little guys!! I downloaded this *specifically* because I thought I could unlock the game (ad-free) for a one time $10 payment (still too expensive, tbh, but doable). Turns out, it's subscription-based ONLY, & that price is PER MONTH. There is no lifetime unlock, & I would imagine that if they ever did add one, it would be upwards of $100. You people are sick. You could have gotten an easy 10 bucks from me, but now you get nothing. What a nasty, shady tactic. It’s off putting and takes away from the actual game. The game itself would be fun.. if they weren’t so “in your face” about buying and watching ads. The amount of ad watching is also out of control. Weapons can’t hit them for some reason. Just pass straight through. No point to continue to play if levels glitch like this. I’ve had to quit at the end of this level multiples times.
