## What is LAST SEEN?

Someone's phone. Someone's secrets.

A phone was found. Its owner wasn't. The department puts the recovered phone on your desk, and everything you need to solve the case is already in your hands - their messages, their photos, their voicemails, their lies.

You're the detective. Read everything. Pin what doesn't add up. When two pinned facts can't both be true, you've broken the case open. Then name your suspect, back it with evidence, and get graded on your work -S to F. The grade goes on your record. So does everything else.

THE METHOD
• READ EVERYTHING - messages, photos, notes, mail, and voicemails that speak out loud, each contact with their own voice
• PIN WHAT'S WRONG - anything suspicious goes on your case board, connected with red string
• BREAK THE LIE - two facts that can't both be true make a breakthrough
• ACCUSE - name the killer, prove it, and live with your grade

THE CASES
Open the desk and the folders are waiting:
• MIRA - a travel influencer with 900k followers vanishes between two posts
• HARBOR - a night watchman's phone, fished out of the harbor with 41 messages addressed to you
• ALIAS - a woman with no name, eight aliases, and a phone mailed to the department by no one
• COMET - a 12-year-old stargazer disappears before dawn, and her telescope shouldn't work anymore

Close two cases and the department sends the next two. New phones reach your desk every week.

THE DEPARTMENT
• Earn your rank - TRAINEE to CHIEF INSPECTOR. Promotions are rare and remembered.
• Four endings per case - earned endings stay on file; sealed ones dare you to reopen
• Take the oath and sign it in your own hand - your signature lives on your service record
• A forensics lab for when you're stuck - one free analysis every day, always

YOUR PHONE STAYS YOURS
No account. No sign-in. No ads. No tracking. Your cases, grades, and progress live on your device and nowhere else.

NEVER PAY TO FINISH
Every case can be solved with patience and the free daily analysis. Purchases are optional, always.

The desk lamp is on, Detective. The first folder is already waiting.

Detective's Retainer is an auto-renewable subscription: $3.99/week after a 3-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account and renews weekly until canceled; cancel anytime in Settings. Credit packs are one-time purchases.

### 4/5 — Fun game

*2026-08-17*

This game is really fun and cool but the reason I gave it four stars is because I feel like it could be better, it’s a bit confusing and the voices are kinda creepy. I got this game because I finished an Elmwood trail and I’m waiting for episode four, I saw this game and thought it would be fun and a little similar. I feel like there should be options to text people more than just once and your text should pop up. Other than that this is a really fun game and it has potential just needs a little more depth and work like the voices especially lol.

**Developer response:** Thank you, seriously. This is probably the most useful review we’ve gotten so far.

About the voices, they are actually supposed to feel a little unsettling because you’re listening to recordings from strangers’ phones. That’s kind of the whole point. But if it feels more creepy/uncomfortable than tense or interesting, then yeah, we didn’t get that balance right. We’re already reworking the voice mix and delivery for the next update.

And you’re completely right about the texting. I think that’s the biggest issue you pointed out. You reply once, then you don’t even see your own message in the conversation, so it starts feeling like you’re not really part of it. We’re putting that at the top of the list.

Really appreciate you taking the time to write all of this.

Thanks.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 2.1.1 — 2026-08-21

NEW - THE DUTY ROSTER
Tell the department the hour you are usually free and it will write to you
then, instead of guessing. Never on a day you have already been in, and you
can change or cancel it any time in Settings.

FIXED - A CRASH ON THE BRIEFING SCREEN
Tapping to skip the typing could close the app. It no longer does. This was
behind every crash report we had.

FIXED - THE KIT STAYED OPEN AFTER A PURCHASE
Buying something left you looking at the screen that had just asked you to
buy it. It now closes, and the confirmation shows where it should have been
all along.

FIXED - CASES THAT WOULD NOT ARRIVE
One file failing to download stopped every file after it from arriving. Each
one now comes down on its own.

### 2.1.0 — 2026-08-20

NEW - THE DETECTIVE'S RETAINER
The department can keep you on retainer: six forensic analyses every day, in
weekly, monthly or yearly terms. Three days free to start.

NEW - THE WHOLE CASE FILE
One payment unseals every case at once. No more waiting on the department to
release the next two.

NEW - A BRIEFING BEFORE YOUR FIRST ACCUSATION
How a file gets closed, explained at the moment it matters. Name one suspect,
back it with three pieces of evidence. A wrong name closes the file, but the
file never disappears: pull it off the endings shelf and work it again.

NEW - CLOSED FILES
Your service record now lists every file you have signed off, the grade it
earned, and where your points came from.

FIXED - THE SUPPLY ROOM
The Detective's Kit could not reach the App Store and showed nothing to buy.
It works again.

CHANGED - ANALYSES
The free daily credit is gone. Analyses now come from your starter pack, a
retainer, or a credit pack. Every case is still solvable without a single
analysis; the lab only ever saves you time.

### 2.0.0 — 2026-08-08

Someone's phone is waiting on your desk. Read it, pin the lie, name the killer. New cases every week. Now bigger than ever on iPad. No ads, no account.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-07-24

No release notes.
