It has a built in translation system that works fairly well and chatting with people around the world is a huge part of the game. It is technically possible to play for free but you won’t get too far without paying. Buying the Sophia character and an extra builder costs about $6 US and makes a huge difference from the start. You will quickly fall behind after HQ level 20 unless you start spending more. Eventually you will realize that the community is run by rich people who spend enormous amounts of money on this game. Some spend enough to buy a house in real life. Despite your comparatively meager spending, if you are unfortunate enough to fall victim to one of the many bugs in the game, you will be emotionally abused by the completely incompetent, rude, and ignorant support staff. They will repeatedly ignore your input and remind you that you are mistaken. The customer support is all AI and even when you talk to a dev in their discord they never do anything. I’ve seen one player use racist vulgar language, harass most of the server they are on, even dox someone because they were crazy enough to search for a person’s information based off their profile picture. They even called that person and threatened their life and family. No ban. Just chat restricted for a few days. Then they would be back at it soon as their chat restriction was over. So many people reported this problem player and yet they never did a thing about it. And the person would just get on another account and continue their crazy behavior. The devs also disregard cheating. They actively ignore people who do bot farming. This game is not a safe place for children. The amount of money they make off microtransactions should make it easy to keep their game safe and healthy but they turn a blind eye if the person breaks the rules and they’ve spend spent even just $1. Please enforce your TOS. This is bordering on sexual harassment. The makers of this game need to seriously look into this matter. The female characters in the game are outrageously sexualized and it also doesn’t help that the “You” in the game cannot be changed from a male character. Stop while you can ### 1/5 — Last Z: Where Your Credit Card Is the Main Character *2026-08-28, version 1.250.725* I finally figured out how to win Last Z: Survival Shooter. Step 1: Ignore the “Survival Shooter” part. Apparently that was just advertising. Step 2: Take out your credit card. Step 3: Keep taking out your credit card. Step 4: Congratulations. You are now good at Last Z. The matchmaking is probably my favorite joke. Spend enough money and you can become ridiculously stronger than normal players, then repeatedly farm them while everyone pretends this is “strategy.” Nothing demonstrates gaming skill quite like having a larger Visa limit than your opponent. But the real masterpiece is what happens when money is involved. There are player reviews reporting paid packs not working, missing rewards and support tickets sitting unanswered. Even better, players who received refunds through Apple have reported getting their in-game credit/reputation reduced or their login restricted until the issue is resolved. So apparently the most dangerous enemy in this zombie apocalypse isn’t a zombie. It’s requesting a refund. Customer support deserves its own achievement: “Sorry for the inconvenience. Please contact customer support.” Achievement unlocked: You contacted customer support to be told to contact customer support. And don’t worry if you downloaded this because the ads made it look like an action zombie shooter. You’ll still get some shooting between the important gameplay mechanics: upgrading buildings, staring at timers, collecting resources and being shown another opportunity to spend money. The game actually has potential, which makes this worse. Instead of building a competitive game around skill and balanced matchmaking, they built an economy where spending can translate directly into power and weaker players can become resources for stronger ones. Last Z isn’t pay-to-win. It’s pay-to-have-the-privilege-of-being-destroyed-by-someone-who-paid-more. 1/5. I’d give it zero stars, but apparently that’s the only thing in Last Z you can’t purchase. ### 1/5 — Every Growth requires Crazy amounts of purchase it’s unsustainable *2026-08-28, version 1.250.725* To unlock the next level you will need to spend at least $50 or try to gather resources around the game in a year. You get unreasonable attacks from other players that just stall your growth and every effort time investment you had made to continuously play this game is gullible. Its a scam. You saw an ad you downloaded a strategy game thats set to generate maximum revenue for every little thing you want to do. You can’t gather enough resources to play this game for free or cheap. You invest you get invaded or youll need to keep buying protection to protect your investment. Its a lose lose situation.
