## What is LastCards?

Last Cards — Play It All. Leave Nothing.

Be the first to empty your hand in a fast, tactical card game with real “kitchen table” energy—online with matchmaking and private rooms, with friends via invite codes, or offline against sharp AI.

HOW A HAND PLAYS
You’re dealt seven cards from a shuffled 52-card deck plus two Jokers (54 total). A starter card opens the discard pile; if it’s special, its effect applies immediately. On your turn, play a card that matches the top discard by suit or rank (pickup chains add important exceptions—see in-app rules). No legal play? Draw one; your turn ends and you can’t play the card you just drew.

COMBOS THAT MATTER
Drop matching ranks together, build same-suit runs up or down, and chain clever bridges where the rules allow. When the draw pile runs out, the discard reshuffles under the top card so the game keeps moving.

LAST CARDS (STANDARD MODES)
Think you can clear your entire hand in one turn? Declare Last Cards before your turn. When your turn starts, the game checks whether your hand was truly clearable from your hand alone; declare wrong and you pay a penalty—declare right and you earn the moment. Jokers interact with that check for human players as documented in-app. Bust uses a different endgame—open Rules for specifics.

SPECIAL CARDS
• 2: stackable “draw 2” penalties.
• Black Jack (spades/clubs): heavy stackable penalties that chain with 2s.
• Red Jack (hearts/diamonds): can reset an active draw penalty while the chain stays tactically “live” until someone draws or a non-penalty line clears it.
• King: reverses direction (two-player King has a dedicated follow-up rule—in-app).
• 8: skips the next player.
• Ace: changes the active suit.
• Queen: suit lock on the player who played it until they cover in suit, play another Queen, or draw.
• Joker: wild—declare suit and rank and keep the table guessing.

MODES
• Offline vs AI — full rules, great for learning timing and penalty math.
• Online casual — pick table size or quick match; private games with codes.
• Ranked — signed-in matchmaking, MMR, leaderboards, 60s turns.
• Ranked (Hardcore) — 30s turns, stricter Last Cards discipline, separate hardcore MMR/ladder and stricter disconnect handling (details in-app).
• Private variants — Standard; Knockout tournament finish order on one table; or Bust.
• Offline-style Tournament — rounds where the last finisher is eliminated until one champion remains.

COMPETITION NOTES
Some online and Bust-final results can count toward leaderboards when the match is trophy-eligible; eligibility is explained in-app. Read ranked/hardcore policies before you queue.

GETTING STARTED
Online features need internet. Ranked and cloud-backed features need the sign-in options your build provides (may include Sign in with Apple and Google). Offline AI and Practice work without a live match.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.12 (58) — 2026-08-27

A more beautiful table
Cards now sit on a proper themed stage and land with a satisfying snap. Meet Sakura Twilight — our first theme that changes the entire environment: dusk sky, blossom branches, falling petals. Free for everyone, and theme previews in the Locker now show each theme's real look.

Your music keeps playing
Spotify, YouTube and podcasts no longer stop when you open Last Cards — and ads won't interrupt them either. Game music politely waits until your own music stops.

Emotes that land
Reactions now pop big in the middle of the table (never blocking your cards).

Show off your style
Everyone at the table now sees your equipped card back. Time to earn a good one.

Coins, clearer
See what you earned after every match, tap your balance to jump straight to the Locker, and try locked themes free for 3 games before spending.

Under the hood
A smaller download, your app version shown on the main menu, and a long list of fixes — including restored purchases and promo codes working reliably.

### 1.0.10 (56) — 2026-08-17

New: Quick Match! Jump straight into a Casual, Ranked, or Hardcore game from a single button on the home screen.
Online tournaments fixed: winning a round now qualifies you for the next one instead of ending the tournament early. Play through elimination rounds all the way to the final!
The pre-match tournament vote now needs a real majority, only appears on tables of 3 or more players, and no longer shows up when you've already chosen Tournament mode.
Remove Ads fixes: promo/offer code redemptions now apply reliably, and Restore Purchases gives clear feedback ("restored" or "nothing to restore") instead of doing nothing.
You'll no longer get a push notification about your own table when you start a match.
Stability and performance improvements.

### 1.0.9 (55) — 2026-08-12

New
Milestone badges — unlock animated Level, Wins, Cups, and Games badges in the Locker at every 5 of that stat (through 50), and equip them as your avatar
Milestone celebrations — short toast when you hit a new every-5 threshold after a match
Auto Sort Hand — keep your hand sorted by rank or suit (Store purchase, or free at Level 50)
Coins leaderboard support
Start-menu ambience and button sounds
Fixes
Red Jack win timing no longer mis-resolves at end of game

### 1.0.8 (54) — 2026-08-07

New

Coin wagers: set a table pot before a private match starts (everyone stakes the same, winner takes it all), or challenge one opponent to a 1v1 side-bet any time during a match, settled by whoever has fewer cards left at the end
Mid-match table wager: propose a pot to the whole table while a match is running — others join as they like, you start it when ready, winner takes the pot among everyone who joined
Voice chat is now on by default
Improvements

Chat, reactions, and the move log dismiss with a tap anywhere outside them
Move log stays open and scrollable to review past moves
Tablet/large-screen chrome no longer crowds out the board
Start screen fits without scrolling, so the ad footer isn't cut off
Fixes

Move log no longer shows stale/ghosted text after a move
Rapid event messages no longer overlap on screen

### 1.0.6 (52) — 2026-07-21

Fixed Queen rules: Queens no longer bypass mid-turn play restrictions, and you can’t win by leaving a Queen uncovered on the discard
Fixed draw/discard piles sometimes becoming untappable on large screens and tablets
Moved settings, back, chat, and reaction buttons above the timer so edge cards in your hand are easier to tap
