But the the fact that the Lastminute app requires full calendar access to add itinerary is baffling. The ‘add events only’ calendar permission should be enough, instead of scraping users full calendar data. ### 4/5 — Enjoyable and good value . *2024-08-24, version 2024.32* My wife and I stayed here 3 nights this week using as a base for driving around each day . Pleasant welcome with helpful and accommodating reception . I loved the good sized room and cupboard space. Basic eating utensils like plates and bowls and also cutlery included . Microwave , toaster and larger than standard bar fridge included . Had to walk up 2 levels of stairs so we limited what we carried upstairs to minimise this inconvenience. Parking downstairs a bit tight to manoeuvre however we managed with our smaller 4 cylinder car . There was parking out front in street this time of year which we used once overnight as well as a couple of times for shorter daytime periods . Our room was showing a bit of age and wear and tear but was clean . Entrance is off the Highway on corner block and opposite a small village of shops including cafe , pizza , thai and Japanese restaurants, baker and bottle shop and general store . More dining as well as supermarket located further walking distance and long sandy beach down the bottom of the street . You find out that this can not be guaranteed only after payment, and that you still have to call the hotel to book disabled access rooms. I will not be booking for my disabled parents again through this site. Complete scam ### 1/5 — Terrible Experience—Order Cancelled Without Notification! *2025-02-22, version 2024.41.1* I booked a non-refundable hotel through the Lastminute AU app, but my order was inexplicably cancelled, and I didn’t receive any notification about it! I only found out when I logged into my account and saw the order status changed to "Cancelled." This left me extremely confused and disappointed, especially since my booking was supposed to be non-refundable. I tried contacting customer service to resolve the issue, but the process was very cumbersome, and the support team didn’t provide a clear explanation or solution. As a travel booking platform, Lastminute AU clearly has serious issues with order management and customer communication. This experience has completely shattered my trust in Lastminute AU. Not only did it waste my time, but it also left me in a difficult situation with my travel plans. I had booked a stay for the next school holidays for my entire family (5) and was looking to call the property to pay a deposit. When I logged into my account I found that my stay was cancelled. I had not recieved any notification of this what so ever. I tried to communicate with last minute and they would not admit liability. I spoke to 2 people via a chat today. I contacted the property directly and they confirmed that the booking bounced straight away and it was indeed Lastminutes fault. I now have flights paid for with no accomodation and less than a month to organise something for the next holidays which at this point, every thing is sold out or out of my price range. ### 1/5 — Too smart for its own good *2024-08-18, version 2024.31.0* I live in Australia but wanted to use app in the UK and France. Buts still it’s telling the same. Seems this deals are not real. Very disappointed. My son and I stayed in Queenstown at a location listed on your site which was just disgusting - not the fault of this platform, but shouldn't be offered as accommodation. Secure apartment, fabulous restaurant and cafe just around the corner. We needed to be at the Royal Brisbane Hospital daily and were able to leave our car in secure undercover parking and walk only 800 metres away. It’s also very close to the city and plenty of public transportation. Recommend it.Also found Last minute Bookings app very useful and easy to navigate. Checking I. It was very close to the tram stop and only about 10 minutes to the CBD. Great buffet breakfast. Hotel was very accommodating with our request for contour pillows and a quiet room for our stay. Although the hotel initially did not have contour pillows, they went out of their way to purchase them which we were impressed! Was pleasantly surprised with the sparkling wine and cake for our anniversary - nice touch! Nice hotel as expected for a boutique hotel that had been renovated! Very good location. As we were unable to have a sit down breakfast due to an early tour. The hotel was able to pack light takeaway breakfasts for us which was appreciated! Thank you The Tasman.
