## What is Lastward?

The gods went quiet. The gates never opened. One watchfire is all that stands between the dark and the last people alive — and tonight, you are the one holding it.

Lastward is a fast, one-thumb survivors-like built for portrait play. Your weapons fire on their own. Everything else — where you stand, what you become, how long you last — is on you.

ONE MORE NIGHT
Twenty minutes. A horde that never stops growing. A final boss waiting at the end of it. Survive and the night is yours. Fall and the next run deals you a completely different hand. There is no grind to get through before the game gets good — the first minute already is.

• Nyra, Shadow Hunter — ranged. Whatever stays at distance stays alive.
• Solis, Keeper of the First Flame — mage. A walking hearth; whatever comes close turns to ash.
• Umbra, Blood of the Nameless — thief. The shadow the horde chases is always the wrong one.

FOUR PLACES TO DIE IN
Cave, Burnt Forest, Glacier and Castle Ruins. Each one changes the rules — faster enemies, richer altars, more chests — and each one keeps its own boss for the end.

Beat the night and Endless opens: no timer, no finish line, just how far the last ember carries you. Game Center leaderboards for best time and for endless.
