## What is Latham?

Latham is a metadata editor built for film photographers. Whether you're scanning a roll of Portra 400 or archiving decades of slides, Latham writes accurate EXIF, IPTC, and GPS data directly into your iOS photo library — fast, correctly, and without re-entering the same information twice. Its iOS 26 interface is designed to feel direct and quiet, from photo selection to metadata wheels and batch results.

The problem with film scanning

When you scan film, the metadata is missing or wrong. The scanner doesn't know your camera. The lab doesn't know your lens. Every scan arrives as a blank slate — and tagging them one by one is slow, tedious, and easy to get wrong.

Latham fixes this with presets. Build a preset for your Leica M6 + Summicron 35mm + Kodak Portra 400 combination once, apply it to an entire roll instantly. Then build another for your Nikon FM2 + 50mm f/1.4 setup. Your presets live in the app, ready to apply whenever you import a new batch.

Latham is designed around scanning film, organizing rolls, and building a properly tagged archive. The same focused preset and batch tools also work for correcting camera and lens data, dates, locations, keywords, and copyright across a wider photo library.

Preset library is backed up automatically on each app update. Restore it from Settings if anything goes wrong.
