## What is Lattice?

Lattice reinvents minesweeper as a roguelike. Read the board, take the safe taps, and after every cleared level draft a card that changes everything.

A fresh puzzle drops every day. The same five boards for everyone in the world — your run, your score, your share.

No ads. No account. No tracking. Just the puzzle.

THE TWIST: CARDS THAT RESHAPE THE BOARD

Clear a level, draft a card, keep it for the rest of the run. Cards stack and turn the same logic puzzle into wildly different games:

• Wildflag — Correctly flag a mine and reveal 3 random safe cells.
• Sapper — The first mine you trigger is defused, not detonated.
• Scout — Start every level already knowing 3 safe cells.
• Cascade — Flood-reveals continue through 1s, not just blanks.
• Greedy Heart — 1.5× score on every reveal, but boards gain extra mines.
• Sweep — Long-press a fully flagged number to clear all its safe
  neighbors at once.

Sapper run or Greedy Heart run? Same boards, completely different game.

FIVE LEVELS, FIVE STARS

Each run is five escalating boards. Clear all five for a 3-star result, then push your score for 4 and 5 stars. Trigger a mine without protection and the run ends — no second chances, no grinding back. Tomorrow's puzzle is your rematch.

DAILY PUZZLE, GLOBAL FIELD

Everyone plays the same boards today. Share your result Wordle-style, puzzle number, score, and stars — and chase the Game Center leaderboard.

DESIGNED FOR THINKING

• Three input modes — Reveal, Mark, and Flag — switchable with a tap
• Long-press always flags, no matter the active mode
• One hint per run: reveals a safe cell or auto-flags a mine
• One undo per run for that tap you instantly regretted
• Universal — built for iPhone and iPad
• Rich haptics and a dark, focused interface that gets out of the way

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-08-19

Global Daily Competition:
Everyone now receives the same daily boards and card offers worldwide, making every leaderboard score directly comparable.
Game Center

Browse Daily and All-Time leaderboards from Stats. Completed-run screens now confirm when your score reaches Game Center.

Three New Cards:
Meet Prospector, Tempo, and Keen Eye—new ways to chase score, speed, and certainty.

Also includes card-detail improvements and daily-run polish throughout the game.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-06-17

What's New in Version 1.0.6

Open Play is back in action:
Fixed a difficulty spike that made higher Open Play levels nearly impossible. Boards now grow as you progress (9×9 → 10×10 → 11×11), mine density is capped to stay fair, and hitting a mine no longer ends your run — it regenerates the board and deducts points instead. Keep going.

Open Play always one tap away:
You no longer need to finish the daily puzzle first. Open Play is now accessible from the main menu any time you want a longer session.

Leaderboard fix
The Game Center leaderboard was showing empty on most days due to a time-scope bug. It now displays all-time scores correctly.

Streak protection
Missing a single day no longer wipes your streak. You now have a one-day grace period — your streak freezes rather than resets, so a late night or a busy day won't undo weeks of consistency.

Other improvements
• Updated How to Play with accurate card names and correct hint counts for free vs Pro players
• Added a Rate Lattice button in About — if you've been enjoying the game, a review goes a long way
• Various polish to the post-game and upgrade screens

### 1.0.5 — 2026-06-11

• Draft from 3 cards after each level instead of 2
• 3 hints per run instead of 1
• 3 undos per run instead of 1
• When you run dry, a bonus hint recharges mid-run

### 1.0.4 — 2026-06-07

Open Play now includes a hidden surprise — one cell on the board conceals a bonus card. Find it and keep it.

Also in this update:
• Fixed a bug where hitting a mine in Open Play would reset the board without showing the result screen
• Open Play result screen now correctly shows your current level instead of the daily puzzle format
• Stats screen best score display fix

### 1.0.3 — 2026-05-21

Bug fixes and performance improvements.
