## What is Lattice Sudoku?

Lattice is a Sudoku built for people who actually want to think.

A new puzzle every day, no ads, and the kind of quiet, considered design that makes a 20-minute solve feel like time well spent.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Daily Sudoku
A fresh puzzle every day. Solve it on the train, before bed, with your coffee. Your streak lives at the top of the home screen, and the week-letter strip shows where you are.

Practice anything
Five difficulty tiers, from quick coffee-break grids to puzzles that will keep you company for an hour. Notes, hints, undo, and handwriting input are all where you expect them.

Friends and duels (new)
Add friends by @handle. Invite them to a head-to-head duel on a shared puzzle — highest score wins. Quick Match pairs you against someone in the world if you'd rather not wait for a friend. The new Notifications Center keeps friend requests, duel invites, and tournament updates in one place.

Tournaments
Compete in the Weekly Cup and other timed tournaments. Past tournaments stay in your archive so you can look back at how you placed.

Tutor library (Premium+)
Interactive, step-through lessons on the techniques that separate a fast solver from a stuck one — X-Wing, Swordfish, Jellyfish, XYZ-Wing, W-Wing, Simple Coloring, and more. Each lesson has an example board you play through, not a diagram you stare at.

Three languages
Lattice now speaks English, German, and French end-to-end — interface, lessons, push notifications, the lot.

Made for the way you actually play
Light, dark, and sepia themes. iPad supported. Swipe from the edge to go back. Sign in with Apple. iCloud-backed progress so you never lose a streak.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

— Free: daily puzzle, practice across all difficulties, three friend duel invites per day, achievements, statistics.
— Premium: unlimited friend duel invites, lives, full tournament access.
— Premium+: everything in Premium plus the Tutor library, with example boards for every technique.

One-time Lifetime purchase available if you'd rather not subscribe.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-06-10

A focused follow-up to 1.3.0 — smarter long-press hints, a clearer Friends list, and passive duel matchmaking.

WHAT'S NEW

• Long-press hints rebuilt — Long-press a cell to see the digits that can still go there, as quick chips. Filled cells show nothing. The old technique-card behaviour is gone, and a new Settings → Game toggle lets you switch the surface off entirely.

• Invited indicator on Friends — Friends you've already challenged now show an "Invited" chip instead of a duplicate Duel button. Tap it to see who, which difficulty, the time remaining, and a single Cancel invite action.

• Passive duel matchmaking — Tap "Find a duel" and you can leave the screen. Your queue spot stays live for six hours, a small "Searching" pill on the Hub shows how long you've been waiting, and a push lets you know when an opponent arrives.

• Fixes — Rematch requests and 24-hour friend-invite expiries are sweeping correctly again

Plus a tidier Settings screen and assorted polish under the hood.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-05-25

Lattice 1.2.2 is a big one — the first major update since 1.1.3, with the social layer, learning tools, and language support we've been building toward.

WHAT'S NEW

• Friends & Duels — Add friends by @handle and challenge them to head-to-head duels on a shared puzzle. Highest score wins. Quick Match pairs you with someone in the world if you'd rather not wait.

• Notifications Center — A new bell in the header collects friend requests, duel invites, and tournament updates in one place.

• Sudoku Tutor (Premium+) — Interactive, step-by-step lessons on the techniques that separate a fast solver from a stuck one: X-Wing, Swordfish, Jellyfish, XYZ-Wing, W-Wing, Simple Coloring, and more. Each lesson has an example board you play through, not a diagram you stare at.

• German & French — Lattice now speaks two more languages end-to-end, with locale-aware dates and times.

• Continue with Google — A third sign-in option alongside Apple and email.

• New home screen — An "In Play" rail puts your active games and tournaments front and center.

• Profile polish — Pick a unique @handle and change it later from Profile. New "Maybe later" opt-out on the solved screen.

• Two-step upgrade — The paywall now lets you select a tier first and confirm with a dedicated Upgrade button, so you can compare options without committing by mistake.

• Daily duel-invite cap — Free users can now send three friend duel invites per day. Premium and Premium+ stay unlimited.

• Native edge-swipe — Swipe from the edge to go back anywhere in the app, with smoother screen transitions.

Plus dozens of stability and polish improvements: realtime updates, deep-link handling on lattice.games, and a clearer Friends and Profile flow throughout.
