Nur sind die farbigen Symbole leider teilweise schwer zu erkennen – vor allem Hellgrün und Gelb. Es wäre gut, wenn man die optional auf Schwarz-Weiß umstellen könnte. It would be great to have info showing for just browsing the symbols. Right now, it’s just doing selection. I don’t like the camera scanning, because it’s too error-prone. One big step forward is having symbol drawing recognition. Something like DeTeXt. Take users scribbles as input and output the labels and meanings, with higher to lower probability. ### 3/5 — Great potential, Needs updates in 2023 *2023-04-08, version 1.1.0* This app is such a great idea and a great resource for quickly finding more details on the many laundry symbols. As of 2023, the camera “live view” implementation is fairly grainy and has a very hard time focusing close up even when using newer iPhones with the macro capabilities (this app seems to only utilize the main camera lens). Since focusing on regular size tags is so difficult even in great lighting, the app often misrecognizes the labels and I have to search for the symbols manually. Additionally, it would be great to be able to search symbols by the number shown inside the Wash symbols (eg typing “30” in the search box would show each of the Wash symbol variations that include the 30° C in the symbol). The camera is super blurry and this app is not optimized to work on these photos. ### 5/5 — 🔎please scrutinize and update🤔 *2023-01-30, version 1.1.0* 5 stars for effort and potential, and the fantastic idea. Implementation, at least for me, is… inconclusive. The app opens up to the camera on my SE2, and mis-reads the labels pretty consistently, especially temperature numbers. Then when I search for what they mean, it doesn't give me information. When I just search for the symbols, I can select them, but no information appears. I don't know if the app has borked, but you really need to look at it in 2023. My brain does the exact thing this app does, why can’t I save labels for my garments? Or put them in categories so I can go “oh I have these garments to wash, I should run this cycle” Why can’t I organise stuff to actually make my life easier instead of doing what google or my own brain cells do. Would be nice to have an option to upload a picture for it to analyze as well. ### 1/5 — Won’t focus on the labels *2022-10-05, version 1.1.0* While the regular camera can focus on things up close, this is only focusing at a distance and then doesn’t pick up the labels. On many of the labels I tried it got the wrong symbol, often the opposite of what the label actually suggested. I just started using the search and edit feature. it would be nice if you could search for symbols and read what they say without adding them to your camera results. But it still helps me a lot to have all of the symbols in one place. I wish there was a way to do the search and get to the results without having to swipe the window down, because I think if it doesn’t find something with the camera, it won’t actually allow you to see the instructions from a manual search.
