After iOS update 17.1.14 the app crashes when you try to view a camera. They will not update any cameras they don’t even offer any of the cameras that I need for system. Most of the cameras are junk and their app can’t even be supported anymore by Apple or iPhone. so now this whole camera system is useless and going to be contacting the Better Business Bureau making a complaint and going other avenues. Reinstalling, clearing data, fresh iOS install does not fix issue. Cannot report a bug through App Store. No response from company. In fact they told me that they are not supporting most older devices as the original tech tech “vanished” and they are moving their priorities. Dead security company that moved to doorbell cams and junk tech. But current LaView connect is written with ip Cameras and now the DVR/NVR systems. The older units have an internal web page, but the stupid thing requires an old extension to view the stream. The extension is not comparable with any web browser. And WHY keep re-cycling the name when the product this software supports isn’t the same as the older version? ### 1/5 — LaView *2024-05-01, version 5.4.0* LaView connect app doesn’t always work to open up my cameras for viewing. All it does is crash every time I try to get on the app. So glad that the developer finally updated the app and now works as intended! I have trying to get help from support. Lately I have had no response from them. One thing they would be nice is if the PTZ control would act like the NVR controls. Used to be able to do all directions in PTZ now it’s only up, down, left, right and not off angle movements such as in between left and down at the same time. Old app did that just fine.
