*2024-07-20, version 8.169.12*

As someone not from the legal world but with a passion for True Crime, the detailed explanations in ways for everyone to understand in a fun and spicy way is unique to EDB💜. There are so many places on the internet that one could get lost. The Law Nerd App provides a safe place with Positive Vibes to share common interests and make friends! The Lives are amazing, The Members Only Lives are hilarious and everything is available in ONE place!!! From one Neurospicy Family to another, Amazing Job Team Baker 💜

### 5/5 — Literal Law Nerd

*2024-06-26*

This app is absolutely fantastic. I’m about to embark on law school. I’ve always followed and studied televised cases. I’ve followed Emily for a really long time but only recently downloaded the app and it’s a one-stop-shop for all things. We’re talking updates/push notes when a verdict comes in. Update messages regarding trial progress. Aesthetically pleasing and witty merch, and the ability to connect with other law nerds. Emily is such a boss and this app further supports such claims. Thanks Emily and developers for this wonderful piece of technology!

### 5/5 — Law Nerd App

*2024-06-14*

The lawnerds have spoken. This app is the best. It’s so refreshing to have a creator do what they can provide a higher quality experience for their community. Plus it doesn’t break as often (a joke about the power of the lawnerds to break websites). Developers your doing some good work here for us. We thank you. If your a LawNerd this app helps us stay connected. Get it!

### 4/5 — Apple Watch

*2024-06-13*

Please update for WatchOS 10 and later (series 8/9). When I get a notification on my watch, it shows the Law Nerd icon and says “Emily…..has sent you a message” and the only option is the “Dismiss” button. There is no option to open/read or view the message. It should (also) have a “Read” or “View” (the message) button. I’ve checked for more options by scroll and swipe, nothing. I only have my watch on-hand at work most times, so having the ability to view its messages would be extremely helpful. Other than that, the app is perfect.

### 5/5 — A True Delight

*2024-03-01, version 8.149.15*

Emily has taught me so much about the law and has converted me to a full time Law Nerd. I love her commentary and am so happy to have an app that keeps me up to date on all things Law Nerd.

### 5/5 — Mark all as read👍

*2024-02-26, version 8.148.25*

Love the Law Nerd app. My favourite feature is the “mark all as read” button and use it often to clear the notifications that go out as reminders while I’m already watching. It makes my neuro divergent brain happy to not have to open everything when I already know the content

### 5/5 — Never miss another notification

*2024-02-07, version 8.140.12*

Love this app as I was one person who YouTube had been changing my notifications, and I constantly had to check an make sure they were turned on, and even then a lot of times YouTube never sent notifying me of EDB’s msgs or live notices. Since downloading and using this app I have yet to miss a single notification of when EDB is going live, posted shorts, or is going live as well as a description of the content. If you’re a Law Nerd or just an EDB fan this app is GOLD! I cannot say enough about it. To end, I’ve probably only written a review a handful of times (less then 20 times) over the past 20+ years I’ve been using Apple, and this is the best review I’ve given any app out of the handful of reviews if written in the past. GOLD!! 🫶🏼

### 5/5 — Love anything Emily does!

*2024-02-03*

Love the app! In general I love everything Emily does. I’ve been obsessed since the Girardi case was breaking and the channel was small. Some things I follow more than others but I just love Emily’s explaination of things, humor and her general demeanor just makes me happy for whatever reason. I’d call it my comfort show and I know whatever Emily makes, I’ll probably love

### 5/5 — Get the app!!!

*2024-01-29, version 8.140.12*

Emily D. Baker, knows how it’s done! Don’t understand any legalize, Emily will gladly explain the law, and how it works in the situation she’s covering.
The app helps us “Law Nerds,” be kept up to date, on what’s happening in real time. But you control how to be notified, and the when and how!
Emily and her team doesn’t spam us, and keeps are information private.

### 5/5 — Law Nerds

*2023-10-27, version 8.131.18*

The easiest way to keep up with all the Law Nerd goodness. Everything is in one place. No need to check for updates on the YouTube. Alerts are excellent and timely.

### 5/5 — Great app! Thanks for caring about your viewers

*2023-10-03, version 8.126.2*

This is a great app. I was fortunate to always get notifications the old way but I am loving this new app. Thanks again for providing the app. Works great !

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Frustrating!

*2026-07-20*

I tried to login using my password (which I don’t understand why I even had to do that, normally I just get logged in automatically) and my password didn’t work. So, I used the “magic link” via email. But, I am unable to change my password on the app or on any browser page I accessed. There is no places to actually log in. I am also confused about being a member. If I am a member who pays $3.99/month, why can’t I watch any of the Member Lives without paying $9.99 a month?

### 1/5 — Forces updates now

*2026-07-01, version 8.271.82*

Made the mistake of updating, now it forces me to do an update when one is available. If I wanted to be forced into updates, I would have the auto update feature on. I know the risk of no updates, let me make my own choices. Forcing updates deserves one star

### 1/5 — Privacy problem

*2026-03-26, version 8.258.91*

Great app, awful privacy policy. This is no way a reflection of Emily (who I think is great), but there’s just way too many unnecessary permissions requested to feel comfortable using it.

### 1/5 — Not accessible for the blind

*2025-09-04, version 8.226.34*

Please make this app accessible for voice over users, thanks!

### 1/5 — Very glitchy

*2025-05-13, version 8.208.34*

I had it last Year and it was always late with notifications. Redownloaded it Today and it won’t even open. Just says ‘Label’ with a a little spinning circle underneath 😭

### 1/5 — Bad for privacy, will not use

*2023-09-21*

I love the concept of this app for specifically following EDB, but I strongly prefer just being part of the text crew, because this app requires way too much of my personal information. I do not sign up for any social media that requires my real name, and do not have a Facebook or google account to link to the app.

Also, the company behind this app says they send marketing emails to users based on all the personal information they gain from you. I go out of my way to avoid getting more spam marketing material.

Bad app for me, please keep the text crew active or find a way I can use an app without giving more than a single email address.
Thanks

### 3/5 — Blocked from using app after newest update

*2026-06-08*

Im sad to say that because of the newest update requiring newer ios versions that my phone doesnt support, i am effectively blocked from using the app at all. I will miss the app i found it to be so helpful before.

### 3/5 — Blah

*2026-03-19, version 8.256.72*

Frustrated by this app.

### 3/5 — Delayed notifications

*2025-06-17, version 8.217.45*

I like the idea of the app and the notifications for important info regarding cases. However, the notifications are significantly delayed. Deleted app. Faster to check TikTok or YouTube.

### 3/5 — 3 star

*2024-02-21, version 8.147.21*

I love Emily and the community and the idea of this app. However, the app itself is a bit ugly visually and from a user interface perspective it’s quite awkward/sometimes confusing to use?

It feels like they somewhat over complicated it by oversimplifying it at the same time. It would have been nice to have a normal feed/homepage like other social medias such as twitter, facebook with updates.

Sorry but I just personally couldn’t really get on with it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best way to watch Live Trials

*2026-03-09*

Emily and Team Baker have done an amazing job with this app and all the content this is the only way to watch live trials, the alerts are so helpful and Emily is so incredibly informative and I love her approach! If you love cursey words and enjoy live trials and want the inside scoop watch Emily and download this app already!

### 5/5 — I am addicted

*2026-02-06*

I love Law Nerds I love the Queen Nerd lightning fast wicked smart hilarious and real
I don’t love the landing page it feels less intuitive but that could be just me and a little notification in the morning makes the day better

### 5/5 — One of a kind

*2026-02-03*

Emily has made this app free for notifications and info and when you pay - boy do you get your money’s worth! There is no one like her!

### 5/5 — Law Nerd’s Best Friend

*2025-06-19*

This app is great. The notifications for when EDB goes live is awesome. I love the Law Nerd Lounge and enjoy the exchanges with other Law Nerds on the trials and subjects we all seem to enjoy. EDB has created a space for all of us to enjoy, feel valued, and share thoughts and opinions without the vitriol often found in other online communities.

EDB, Team Baker, and Law Nerds Rock!!!

### 5/5 — Hey LawNerd. Get The App!!

*2025-06-18, version 8.217.45*

The app is great for keeping up on all things EDB & pop culture law when I can’t be at my computer.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-06-18*

EDB and her team create quality content about the most interesting legal cases. This is a great app that lets us know when court gets spicy or new videos/podcasts are released. Thanks, EDB, for making this happen!

### 5/5 — Favorite app on my phone!

*2025-06-13*

I can stay current on the happenings of whichever trial I’m following. No need to wonder or check over and over. Just wait for the notification, then tune in!

### 5/5 — EDB Serves Everytime

*2025-06-01*

I’ve been an avid follower of the Law Nerd since the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial. I’ve watched several live trials, and EDB is fantastic at breaking down all the details. Some people may need to get used to her commentary, as it can often seem like she’s talking over or interrupting the fluidity of the trial itself. However, I’ve come to love every second because she truly has a knack for absorbing, processing and sharing the legal details that help us understand what’s happening. The app itself is fantastic because she takes into account that people that may want to be notified of very specific parts of the trial as opposed to watching it in its entirety. Love it. I’m a fan.

### 5/5 — Lawnerds docket 214

*2025-02-02*

This app is so much fun for people who love true crime interactions with their group of online peers (we call them lawnerds). I’m so grateful for this community because it’s so informative day to day on pop culture trial or legal updates and we can commiserate in the lawnerds lounge about chitty-chitty chat chat. We look at facts as lawnerds. We don’t do drama. We are professionals and our fearless leader Emily D. Baker has created an amazingly effective community that interacts across inter webs in a fascinating form. It’s astonishing actually. High respect for Team Baker and whoever wrote this app!

### 5/5 — :)
