## What is Lawn Obsessed Australia?

Lawn Obsessed Australia tells you exactly what your lawn needs this week —
based on your grass type, your postcode, and the actual weather — so you're
never guessing, and always a step ahead of next door.

No AI, no vague tips. A deterministic care schedule built on well-established
Australian horticultural practice, for the lawns Australians actually grow:
Buffalo, Couch, Kikuyu, Zoysia, Qld Blue Couch, Perennial Ryegrass and Tall Fescue.

THIS WEEK
Open the app and see what actually matters right now — the weather first, then
the jobs to do now, then the optional extras if you're chasing a better lawn.
Mowing height and frequency for your grass and the season, when to fertilise and
in what form, weed control timed to the germination window, and more. Plain
English by default, with the underlying numbers a tap away.

PLANS AROUND WHAT YOU'VE DONE
Log a treatment in your journal and the app takes it into account — This Week
won't ask you to feed again while the last one's still working, event prep marks
steps you've already covered, and your kit's stock counts down as you use it.

TUNED TO YOUR PATCH
• Postcode-based climate zone — the calendar shifts for tropical, subtropical,
temperate, arid and cool/alpine Australia, right down to how long winter
dormancy actually runs in your part of the country.
• Live weather adjustment — disease-pressure alerts on humid nights, "skip the
watering, rain's coming" prompts, frost and wind warnings before you mow or spray.
• New lawn? Establishment mode runs its own 8-week watering and mowing taper.

A REAL YEAR-AHEAD PLAN
See the whole year at a glance — a month-by-month calendar that explains not
just what to do but why, colour-coded so the shape of the year is obvious. Then a
"What to Buy" list that turns that plan into an exact shopping list — quarterly
or for the whole year — with real pack sizes and quantities, split into what you
need to buy and what's already on your shelf.

PICK YOUR EFFORT LEVEL
Three programs, same price, switch any time:
• God Mode — the full routine, neighbours sweating.
• Solid Effort Mate — regular mowing, seasonal feeds, basic weed control.
• Just Keeping the Wife Happy — feed twice a year, weeds once, mow when it needs it.

WHAT TO ACTUALLY BUY
For every treatment, a short list of genuinely good products matched to your
grass, effort level, budget and where you shop — with the active-ingredient maths
so you can see why, and a dose calculator that scales the manufacturer's rate to
your lawn size. Go For Gold picks for God Mode users chasing genuine
pro/greenkeeper-grade product.

PROBLEM SOLVER
Identify a weed, a lawn disease, or what's eating your lawn from clear
descriptions — cultural fix first, chemical last. Plus a soil pH guide and a
renovation guide for when it's time for a proper reset.

SPECIAL EVENT PREP
Got people coming over — Christmas and Boxing Day, the grand final, the in-laws?
Set the day and get a countdown: main feed four weeks out, a root feed at two
weeks, an iron hit at five days, final mow the day before.

ALSO
• Multiple lawns — front, back, the dog run — on one subscription.
• Treatment journal with photos, purchases and equipment records.
• Measure your lawn on a satellite map.
• One weekly reminder, at most. Opt in, never more often than that.

PRIVACY
No account. No backend. Your lawn profile, journal and photos stay on your
device. Your postcode is sent to the weather service to get a forecast and isn't
stored. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple.

TRY IT
14 days of full, personalised access — free, no card required. After that, keep
it for AU$3.99/month or AU$39.99/year (that's AU$3.33/month), or drop back to the
free general lawn calendar. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you won't
be charged.

Always follow the product label for rates, timing and safety — it's the
authority, not this app.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.2 — 2026-09-25

The app now reads your journal — and plans around it.
• This Week knows what you've already done. Log a feed or a mow and it moves to "Recently done" with when it's next due, instead of asking you to do it again.
• This Week is now split into Weather, Do now, and Optional extra credit — so a wind or heat warning never reads like a job, and the essentials are always first.
• Event prep checks your journal too. Fed a few weeks before Christmas? The main-feed step is marked as already covered, so you don't double up.
• Running stock in Your Kit. Tell us what's on the shelf and it counts down as you log treatments — 5 kg of fert, 2.5 kg used, 2.5 kg left.
• What to Buy is now split into "Need to buy" and "On hand", and only tells you to buy what you're actually short of.
• Smarter mowing intervals — spring and autumn now get their own pace, adjusted for your climate zone and the day's temperature.
• More accurate shopping quantities — products that last 12 weeks (like granular wetting agents) are no longer counted as monthly.
• Lawn Addicts added as a shop, with the full 2Spec, Fertech and Hydrolink ranges.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-09-23

More brands, better picks, and a few polish fixes:

• Lawn Addicts is now a "where you shop" option, with the full 2Spec granular, Fertech liquid and Hydrolink wetting agent ranges added to the catalogue
• Go For Gold refreshed: ICL Sierraform GT is the new premium granular pick, and Fertech Super Iron the new premium iron pick
• Dog urine spots now shows exactly what to use, matching This Week
• Peak Growing Season in the Planning calendar is now a proper lawn green
• Clearer wording on how the dose calculator works out amounts for your lawn size

### 1.3 — 2026-09-22

New name, same lawn obsession — Lawn Obsessed is now Lawn Obsessed Australia.
Planning got a full rebuild:

• A real year-ahead calendar — month by month, colour-coded by season, that
explains the "why" behind each month (prepping for the cold, coming out of
winter, peak growing season) instead of just listing tasks.

• "What to Buy" now gives you an exact shopping list — quarterly or for the
whole year — with real pack sizes and quantities, not vague suggestions.

More accurate for where you actually live — recalibrated timing across every
Australian climate zone, from the short, mild winter of North Queensland
through to Tasmania's longer cold season.

"Go For Gold" — for God Mode users who want the genuine pro/greenkeeper-grade
product, not just the usual premium pick.

A bigger, more honestly-scored product catalogue, including several new
Australian brands.

Plus a batch of accuracy fixes across fertiliser timing, product quantities,
and recommendation reasoning. Thanks for the feedback — keep it coming.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-18

New: Planning tab — see your whole year at a glance. One view shows what's due each month, another shows what to buy and when you'll actually need it, so you're not buying fertiliser three months before you need it. Covers every lawn at once if you've got more than one.

Multiple lawns, done properly — front lawn, back lawn, the strip by the side gate, each with its own grass type, effort level and mower, tracked separately.

New: Soil pH and Soil Temp guides — a cheap test kit, a slider, and honest advice on what (if anything) to add. Soil Temp helps you double-check it's really time for your spring feed, or time to pack it in for winter, instead of just guessing off the calendar.

Dose & tank-mix calculator — tell us your lawn size, we'll tell you exactly how much of a product to mix, water included.

Robot mower support — if a little disc-shaped mate does your mowing, we now account for that in your height and feed recommendations.

Renovation guide, expanded — starting from scratch or fixing a patchy lawn now covers soil base, levels and irrigation, not just what to spray.

Plus a big batch of refinements from real user feedback — clearer product recommendations, better timing on fertiliser and weed control, and general polish throughout.
