## What is Layo?

Layo helps college students turn a big campus into a small circle.

Instead of endless scrolling, Layo introduces you to a handful of people who
actually fit — matched around what you're into, what you're studying, and
what you need right now, whether that's a study partner, a gym buddy, or
people to grab dinner with.

FIND YOUR PEOPLE
• Get matched with students on your campus who share your interests and goals
• See why you matched — Layo explains every introduction
• Save profiles, events, and pods you want to come back to

SEE WHO'S GOING
• Open any pod or event to see who's already in before you join
• Your vibe (Pro): Layo highlights the people there you'll click with most,
  and tells you why
• Say hi (Pro): pick from three short intros written in your voice, and the
  chat opens right away
• You choose whether you show up: you're hidden from attendee lists until you
  turn it on

PODS — YOUR MICRO-COMMUNITIES
• Join pods: small groups built around an interest, a class, or a vibe
• Chat with your pod, plan meetups, and actually follow through
• Start your own pod and grow it with people Layo brings you

MEET UP IN REAL LIFE
• Discover events and meetups happening on and around campus
• RSVP, check in, and tell Layo how it went — your feedback makes your next
  match better

AN AI THAT ACTUALLY HELPS
• Ask Layo's built-in assistant for suggestions — by text or voice
• Get conversation starters, plans for your week, and ideas for your pod
• Deep Match gives you an AI breakdown of why you and a match fit (Pro)

MADE FOR YOUR CAMPUS
Layo opens campus by campus. Verify your school email to join your campus, or

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.1.2 — 2026-10-19

Find your people at campus events, then keep meeting them.

- Check in at the door: scan the event's QR code when you arrive, or hosts can check you in from their door screen.
- Host pods: events show the pods hosting them. Tap a pod to open it, and join it when you RSVP.
- Your table: at weekly meetups you're seated at a table by shared interests, and you come back to the same table each week.
- Weekly series and waitlists: RSVP to the next week in one tap, and get a spot automatically if one opens up.
- Private events and pods are invite-only and open through their link.
- Sign up to volunteer at events.
- Contact us from Settings.
- Event notifications now open the right event.
- Voice and sign-in fixes, plus polish.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-10

See who's going before you join. Every pod and event now shows who's in, so you can walk in knowing a few faces.

- Who's going: open any pod or event to see the people already in.
- Your vibe: Layo Pro highlights the three people you'll click with most, and tells you why ("You're both in BIOL 1103").
- Say hi: pick from three short intros written in your voice, send it, and the chat opens right away.
- You choose whether you show up. You're hidden from attendee lists until you turn it on, and you can change it anytime in Settings.
- Show my QR code: invite a friend in person from your profile.
- Add a short bio during sign-up so people know what you're into.
- Fixes and polish.
