You simply place your iPhone near the music, and the app transforms the sound in the room into responsive spectrum bars, bouncing VU needles, colorful lights, and other live visual effects. The variety is excellent. You can move between classic green-to-red equalizer bars, blue and purple displays, analog-style VU meters, VOX lights, custom colors, and a wonderfully nostalgic 1995-style car stereo. The retro stereo display is especially impressive, with working controls, multiple visualizers, presets, an animated startup sequence, and some fun surprises to discover. There is also a surprising amount of customization. Sensitivity, movement, colors, VU behavior, larger spectrum blocks, and even a Jeep Mode for reducing interference from wind and road noise can all be adjusted.
