The V8.4 of Lazada app is particularly bad now on iPhone… Runs super slow & even crashes the whole phone / re-starts it at times. What indeed was so wrong with versions 8.2 & 8.3?! Phrase being “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”… Please revert back to the useable (previous) versions (since apple sadly will not let us do that, we have to use whatever junk your developers give us)! :( ### 1/5 — Trash *2026-08-07, version 8.4.0* Spam, advertising, and a lot of useless notification. It's hard to find anything. ### 1/5 — Moving forward Again *2026-08-07* Update to update. Lazada is a nightmare. This particular product sold here has red flags. Could it be a real legitimate? They seem to be trying to sweep this whole thing under the rug. Because there were no manuals; no official cable included; no official company stamps on back of product; and because it doesn't work may be of interest to others. Time to gear up and pursue those red flags especially that one red flag. In the j meantime analyze Lazada before that next purchase. Update: Now this is a nightmare dealing with Lazada. So many promises to correct an order gone wrong. There was promise of replacement and nothing happened. The original item was days late and there was no real tracking information. The item received did not match the item listing description nor product photos, also in the listing. No manuals or warranty info. Included cable was different, etc. Product didn't work. One has to ask if this might be a branded counterfeit from an authorized reseller found inside the Lazada family. In the end the customer gets the bad end of the deal. Past post: After many successful orders one order has proven unusually challenging. Customer support is working to make this one right. Frequest communications are both helping and reassuring. The delivery team changes all the time and they do not speak English. My order didn’t deliver for 3 days and they returned my orders. Customer service doesn’t care, kept telling me there’s nothing they can do. This experience is just horrible! Ordered a replacement and the initial target date moved by another 3 days, decided to cancel and get refund which was fortunately easy. ### 1/5 — Terrible customer service and delivery *2026-07-28, version 8.3.0* This was my first time using Lazada and I was shocked by the terrible customer service. So I bought this product and the seller marked it as delivered while it was not even delivered. I asked the seller about it and they claimed that it was a system display issue and that the order will be delivered in arnd 20 days. I was shocked cos this is clearly not a system display issue but the seller trying to show their own punctuality on records. I knew I couldn’t trust this seller so I decided to ask for a refund. I even attached a screenshot where the seller had said that they have yet to deliver the product but they mark the system as delivered. But guess what, my refund request was rejected the next day like why. Shoppee or other platforms would not even ask for proof if the product is not delivered. And the thing is that if this product is delivered after 20 days, I would have no way of returning it if it was faulty as there is time limit for return/refund. And ~20 days more to deliver the product after marking it as delivered is actually insane. When I saw this, I immediately called the customer service helpline but guess what I was only responded by an automated recording asking for my query every time and then total silence. I called them more than 4 times but no response. Terrible customer service. I am gonna uninstall this app after I get my order/ refund. Disappointed. ### 1/5 — Keeps sending vendor chats without consent *2026-07-28* I am getting so tired of this that I am either going to turn off notifications completely or delete the app. I find it so inappropriate that I toggle off vendor promotion chats, but it still keeps sending me them. It also keeps giving me notifications on the app’s iOS banner, and it is just infuriating me. No app should send notifications and promotions if I haven’t consented to it.
