## What is ldft?

let's do fun things. ldft is chicago's social calendar. find what's on this week, grab tickets, and actually meet people when you show up.

events.
a curated lineup of chicago events every week. salsa nights, game nights, watch parties, lectures over drinks. rsvp free or grab a ticket in a couple taps.

together.
take a short chemistry quiz and get matched into a small group going to the same event. break the ice in a group chat before you arrive, then show up already knowing your people.

circles.
a circle for everyone: community chats by interest. outdoor events, game night, dancing, classes + workshops, over drinks. see what the city's talking about.

points.
earn points for rsvps, tickets, check-ins, and referrals. cash them in for credit toward any event.

20k+ chicagoans already use ldft to make the city feel smaller. new events drop weekly.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-13

we removed 'together' tab and replaced it with 'inbox' to make navigation a bit more seamless.  'together' events still exist but they are listed in the 'upcoming' tab and marked as 'together'.

we removed 'spots' tab since it hasn't been fully developed yet and needs further work by us.

we also did various bug fixes and some small cosmetic adjustments.

### ldft 1.1 — 2026-07-21

we've been busy making ldft faster and friendlier:

- a redesigned inbox. messages and notifications now live in one place
- faster, more reliable chat (and the keyboard finally behaves)
- sign in with email. verify once, log in anywhere
- smoother navigation across events, together, and circles
- lots of small fixes and polish
