## Most critical reviews (9 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — What does the risk factor mean?

*2022-06-30*

Calculating your cholesterol results (total, HDL and triglycerides) gives you a risk factor number but no explanation of what it means.

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2021-06-23*

After tapping calculate nothing happens.
iOS 14.6

### 1/5 — Rediculous calculator

*2018-03-21*

This calculator is rediculous since it only allows integers. Try to enter 6.2 mmol/L.
There is no ‘.’ (decimal point). So what’s the point.

### 2/5 — No idea what the numbers mean

*2023-04-23*

The calculator itself is easy to use but I have no idea what the resulting numbers mean or if this can be used outside of results from a lipid panel.

### 3/5 — It’s ok

*2019-09-12*

I wish there was a way to save your information to better track

### 5/5 — It works good. Results are accurate

*2023-08-14*

This app modifies the original Friedewald formula to account for your individual lipid profile, therefore it matches better to your direct measurement of serum LDL-C levels.
All labs use formulas to estimate your LDL-C levels. Some labs are doing a better job at estimation than others.
I trust this app more than my lab’s estimation for my LDL-C levels.
Thank you, Johns Hopkins IT team, for providing us a useful app.

### 5/5 — Quick & easy to use

*2020-08-05*

Quick & easy to use and since it calculates a lower LDL for me than the standard test, I like it! No, seriously, it seems to take into account my very high HDL in determining the LDL. It would be nice to be able to save data entries over time to track personal health. I read the developer’s notes, bit it would also be nice to have a bit more detailed explanation of how the calculations are derived.

### 5/5 — My son is a genius

*2017-11-12*

What a great app son!

### 5/5 — Dr. martin's equation is genius!
