## What is Le La?

Master the genders/articles of French nouns. Excel in your French classes and/or impress your native French speaker friends.

SEARCH 
Type the first few characters of a noun and see the article immediately. The app contains a dictionary with more than 42,000 French nouns. Optionally, you can display the translation or definition of the noun.

FAVORITES
To focus on problematic nouns, add them to your Favorites for later reference.

RULES
Although the genders/articles in French seem quite random, they are not completely so. Learn several handy rules and guidelines for determining the articles.

GAME
Select/guess the articles of nouns presented in random order.

Lovely app. Only thing missing is the definitions explaining the word, it would make the app perfect, and I would use it even more!

I did the quiz with random words. I guessed masculine for the word « intérieur » and I was marked wrong. I looked it up in the dictionnaire de l’académie française, and it says masculine. Later the app said « livre » was feminine, which is only true if it refers to a unit of weight or money. This was not stated in the prompt. In short, it’s no use to use this app to check your work when they haven’t checked theirs!
