In the USA they’re all owned by billionaires who have an agenda. I realize French news is going to mostly talk about France. Then secondly, it would talk about the rest of the world. Africans are as important as Americans. But I am biased and would like to learn more about what France has to say about the USA. My 3-stars means average. ### 4/5 — good news app *2026-08-13* App works very well and is a pleasure to read. It's a little confusing that you can never go "back" but have to find an X to close. But my only real complaint is that we aren't given any "gift articles" to share, particularly when some things of strong public interest are made "subscriber only," for example how to protect your home and village from wildfires. ### 4/5 — Be careful! *2026-06-06* I paid for the app but it does not let me connect. Instead of being able to report the problem to Apple it takes me to Le Monde! The best coverage of fine art and allied subjects by far of any newspaper. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Good media source but dire customer service *2026-07-17* Le Monde is a great media source but there can be few organisations in the world with such truly dreadful customer service. It has proved impossible to create an account with Le Monde. We have now tried on 5 browsers on three different devices over a week. Three emails (to whom I was directed by the error message) have gone unanswered. Tweets don’t work. Without the account you can’t use the subscription on multiple devices. No idea what to do next but this will be the last subscription with them. Barthe et Filiu abordent Israël systématiquement à charge, sans nuance, en passant sous silence les responsabilités et dysfonctionnements palestiniens et en manquant de regard réellement critique sur le Hamas. Le Monde pourrait apporter des éclairage intéressants (comme le fait Arte par exemple). L’annulation de l’abonnement étant un parcours du combattant, je suis bien comptabilisé comme étant « non abonné », mais je suis toujours prélevé. Plutôt que de répondre aux appels du service client essayant de me faire revenir afin de leur dire qu’ils me prélèvent encore 36 euros par mois (l’abonnement a augmenté avec l’ancienneté, mais ça coute en fait 30 euros. Par contre un bouton fermé tous les articles serait apprécié. En effet lorsqu’on part d’articles en article sans refermer le premier, on se retrouve avec tout un tas d’articles ouverts.
