### 5/5 — man-boy

*2016-12-02*

Very impressive game. all the best parts and feels of Mega Man, Castlevania, Mario Bros. and other classic platforms. But the design and music blows it out the water.

### 2/5 — App won’t respond in settings when shut off music

*2019-06-30*

The app is unresponsive when one attempts to shut the music off and if the music was not so annoyingly repetitive with one short bar of music over and over and over again, it would be more tolerable. But because of the inability to silence the game in it’s settings, it just made me wonder what other basic problems are there throughout this game?

**Developer response:** Hello, we are sorry you’re having issues with the audio. Can you please email us with the exact problem you are encountering? We have never heard of anyone having issues turning off the sfx or music, and the game even allows you play your own music as well. Thanks.

### 2/5 — Controls..

*2018-05-03*

It just amazes me with all the free market research how a game with such high production value and character can make it this far and have such horrible controls. Platformers require fast reactions, so why are the left/right controls so laggy? There are so many other successful platformers that have mastered the TWO buttons required for movement, so perhaps this will he fixed in an update. Until then, insta-delete.

### 2/5 — Visually nice, but lots of bugs

*2017-03-02, version 1.2*

This game has a nice visual design to it but suffers from some crippling design bugs.

When exiting the game it will remember if you have less than the standard 3 lives and when started back up you will have that much. But if you earn more than three and exit, the game will return you with just the standard three—which sort of makes the whole lives system a pointless annoyance.

The biggest other flaw is the game taking over IOS's music player and not allowing you to play your own music. This has caused me to turn away and play other games when I needed to listen to audio for work or was sick of the game music.

### 2/5 — I must be missing something.

*2016-12-17*

The game literally makes me nauseous from the swaying parallax scrolling. Unfortunately this, coupled with mediocre game play (as far as I could make it anyway) gets this 2 stars.

### 3/5 — If Burgertime Got Its Super Mario Knack - Interesting, But Rather Punishing

*2020-01-02*

If Burgertime got its Super knack and became "Super" Burgertime, this would basically be its outcome. Unfortunately, while I find the concept of tough-as-nails platforming, as the game would suggest, potentially fun and certainly interesting, I find the game really too punishing, at least for my playstyle of not having cheap shots taken at - and I found a lot in this game, which is a shame for a gamer like me who was longing for a more difficult Mario game.

I would certainly play the game all the way to 100% completion if it weren't for the punishing gameplay. Usually, I would strive for 100% completion in a video game, and usually, the times I wouldn't would be if the game were punishing along the way to completion, or even to 100%, and that shamefully is a strong point on a lot of my Nintendo games. The fact that this is even a part on this game is truly shameful for exactly what it is.

Some of the jumps, for one thing, are just plain punishing to cross. I can count several times where I thought I was gonna make it only to fall just short of the next platform, and the collision and placement of enemies is also pretty rough in themselves. There are too many enemies packed into one space often, making even slight movements potentially deadly, and the collision has caused me grief on more than one occasion when trying to dodge or stomp an enemy.

To sum it up, if you're looking for a tough-as-nails game like Mario, you may find better alternatives online. But if you have a high pain and punishment tolerance, this game MAY work, and in fact I can totally understand if you enjoy it yourself. I'm just saying I wouldn't really recommend this game if you're a general Mario fan, but if you don't mind the gameplay, or are a general mobile game fan or tough-as-nails gamer or platformer gamer yourself, this should be up your alley. Though the rest of it IS good, I'll admit myself.

### 3/5 — Fix AppleTV Glitch

*2018-01-10*

I like this game but it keeps freezing up on me when I play on AppleTV. The screen goes blank and I can hear the music.

**Developer response:** Hi - apologies for the delay. Can you explain how to reproduce this? Does this happen on game launch? Which AppleTV version do you have? This doesn't happen on our hardware, so it's hard to debug. We have a large update coming soon for both iOS and tvOS so this may be resolved. Thanks.

### 3/5 — Fun but.

*2017-01-23*

Fun game. Very challenging. Needs updates. Glitchy on 'City' area. So bad I cannot complete that area. Too bad. Hopefully dev fixes this soon as this game is really fun!

### 3/5 — Great Game with a Few Issues

*2017-01-14*

The gameplay is great and the levels are fun, but some bugs and the tiny controls get in the way of actually enjoying it to its fullest.

### 4/5 — Brutal, but phenomenal at the same time

*2023-04-09*

I can’t believe how underrated this game is. This is definitely one of the best platformers available on iOS. It’s one of a kind and clearly a lot of love and passion we’re put into this. It’s very challenging (which isn’t really a bad thing), it has gorgeous visuals, and I love how smooth and responsive the controls were. Each level provided something unique and it’s really addicting and even if I got frustrated a lot, I couldn’t put the game down. It just kept calling me back. I hope more levels get added in the future. Thank you to the devs for creating a great premium iOS game!

UPDATE: I have to remove a star because the game is no longer optimized for the latest iOS devices. Once it’s updated, I’ll make if 5 stars again.

**Developer response:** Hi, we appreciate the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it.

### 4/5 — Frustrating but rewarding gameplay

*2018-10-11, version 2.0*

This game can be maddeningly frustrating. But when you complete a stage it feels incredibly rewarding because it’s so challenging. It feels like the old school Mario. That said, I wish they had an “easy” mode. At times I just want to give up and delete the app forever.

### 5/5 — SO FUN!!!!

*2018-05-07*

Honestly, this went to being my favorite game as soon as I opened it up! Super fun!!!!!!!!

### 5/5 — Adorable, tough classic platformer

*2018-05-02*

Great controls, nice graphical style, cute music and sound, plenty of levels. Sometimes a but too tough, but softened with the new update including infinite lives. Really comes with most anything you'd ask for in a premium mobile platformer. Drop the $$ on this, you'll be satisfied.

### 5/5 — Nostalgic

*2018-04-26*

Le Parker reminds me of how I felt when I sat down to play a platformer for the first time. Every stage is difficult but once you find the rhythm it becomes incredibly rewarding. One of the few games I’ve played through on my phone multiple times, a must buy for gamers.

### 5/5 — Beautiful pixel art!

*2017-02-19*

amazing game! pixel art, mixed with soothing music and effects, this game is none like other!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2017-01-10*

I really do love this game but don't let the cuteness of it fool you! It can be difficult.

It is super frustrating at times but who doesn't love a challenge?

I love the graphics and the music. Although, I do wish they would allow the option of listening to your own music while playing.

I hope they add more levels because I play this game everyday and don't want it to end.

Best app I've purchased!

### 5/5 — Modern Day Throwback

*2017-01-09*

Reminds me of Super Mario Bros. but a more current twist. The controls were surprisingly intuitive and responsive. Great game!!

### 5/5 — 10/10, I love this game!!

*2017-01-05*

Brings me back to the good old Mario days of my youth. Difficult at times, but those macaroons just taste so good when you finally get em

### 5/5 — Great Visuals and music

*2017-01-04*

this is very artistic game with great visuals and awesome sound tracks. much like the old school platformers

### 5/5 — Love it!
