Not great. *2026-04-21, version 8.6.2* This app is marginal when it works. Like church community builder, it could be much better. As you’ll notice when you try to contact the developers, it is a dead link, which further illustrates how this company is ok taking your money buy they don’t really support their products that well. I tried to report an app bug to customer service and they told me only the official contact at my church could report bugs. Ridiculous. ### 3/5 — Could be better *2025-08-31, version 8.5.2* It’s really great that I can see the events and resources I’ve ordered. It would be nice if I could also access the notes I’ve written on those resources. ### 3/5 — Improving… slowly. *2024-11-24, version 8.4.0* PushPay ChMS (formerly Church Community Builder) is very feature rich. The Lead app provides some very useful features but not all. For instance you can’t log attendance from an event screen. Or another: individual profile editing is very limited (ie customized fields seem to be omitted in the app, homebound ministry option is absent, and Sacraments can be viewed but not edited.) There is no access to child work approved dates. And more. I would love to be able to update my database on the fly, on my phone. Yes I can access the site through a browser, BUT it’s all formatted for a desktop. More than 1/2 the time I’m standing in the fellowship hall, in a coffee shop, or in the parking lot when I need full access. PushPay, very happy with what you’ve built. Bring the Lead App up to challenge of accessing all that you’ve given us. It no longer keeps the face id enabled if previously set. Personally I’m drawn to the red bubbles on my phone apps. I don’t like them. They get my attention. Unfortunately, the Lead App does not have them and I also have a lot of unfinished process queue tasks as well. I know that I can and should schedule time to open the app everyday but adding this notification feature would be awesome. ### 3/5 — Good but Frustrating *2023-03-13, version 8.0.1* Taking attendance, seeing schedules, and accessing people’s contact info to call or text is pretty easy But one of the ways that I would love to be able to use the app is to be able to share contact info quickly with other people. Someone asks me as a pastor for a congregants contact info or group leaders contact info (assuming it’s appropriate to share) and I can’t just send it to them in a text or email. I have to go in and “edit” the person and copy the info then switch back and forth between apps to share. It’s very cumbersome. This circumstance happens multiple times a week. ### 3/5 — Please, for the love of our Lord, add Landscape support!! *2023-01-24, version 8.0.1* I use this app every day for my church for managing my volunteers and checking the church calendar, however, I also have an iPad and the app is practically unusable on my iPad because when I have a keyboard attached, I have to use the app in portrait mode. It the iPad app will not work in landscape even though the app seems like a basic default iOS layout. I don’t understand why it doesn’t just adapt to landscape when I turn my iPad, please, please, please fix this! ### 2/5 — Not great, Bob! *2022-05-29, version 8.0.1* Clunky and terribly limited. Also, God be with you if you need support. ### 2/5 — Great for basic functionality *2021-11-24, version 8.0.0* I’ve been working and running most of the digital work for our church for almost 5 years. CCB has been a fantastic help for that, couldn’t be more happy. It doesn’t make itself easy for new comers though. There’s a lot of good and extremely comprehensive tools for the desktop version, there are problems there too; but just talking about how the app works with the software feels like there’s so much missing. I’d love to bring a ton of new people on board for our reconnect or growth programs and automate the entire process but the app just isn’t there yet. The process queue feature is great, but it only shows the title of the queue. No instructions for the person doing the queue, not even a description. When a person is assigned, the only possible notification is an email. This would be the perfect moment to add push notifications for things like this (and push notifications for most features would be amazing for a church to have access too like event reminders and sermon notes instead of “twexting” all the time which also requires us to ask a very weird and intrusive sounding question of the persons cell provider, which can be automated for like 10 cents a person! I had to do it myself). The features they do have are great like making events and the feature we’ve never used Schedules; but there is so much room to grow with this app. I am almost ready to make my own app using api integration because it would be so simple and so useful for things like the queues to be done on the phone where it’s way less overwhelming and way less mundane then through desktop web browser. CCB please add this, we’re almost ready to move to another software that does do this. ### 2/5 — Needs some work *2021-09-13, version 8.0.0* Constantly freezes on my new phone. Contacts don't sync with my phone. Calendar doesn't synced with my phone. I hate email notifications, and the app doesn't have notifications for some strange reason. This app was clearly made for the early 2010s, not 2020s. A few changes could make CCB and this app worthwhile, but not as it stands. ### 3/5 — iPad Orientation *2021-08-23, version 8.0.0* Overall, the app works really well. I personally would love to see an update that allows the app to be used in landscape orientation on an iPad. It makes you log in from scratch every time, and although I select my Church, enable face ID, and create a passcode, it saves none of my settings and logs me all the way out. That's annoying but not the worst of it. Now instead of providing a login window, it wants me to search for my church. When I enter the name of my church or my church’s zip code or the subdomain, it still won't find my church. I have to go to my church’s website on my phone and click on the link provided on our homepage to login. Very annoying! I don’t see any update or fix in the App Store. Would love to have full calendar options, including seeing the entire church calendar, adding events for groups, and even the ability to add photos to events. Currently to add an event, need to do so on a computer, and it doesn't show up on the app immediately. Thankful to be able to take attendance easily with a phone or tablet. Making great progress improving the app thus far. Thanks for all the hard work guys! ### 4/5 — Hooray for landscape mode! *2023-09-27, version 8.2.0* I access this app almost exclusively on my iPad, which I use like a laptop, in landscape mode with a keyboard build into the cover. So it used to be very uncomfortable and inconvenient when Lead only functioned in portrait mode. I went to the App Store today to give that feedback and noticed there was an update available, so I initiated the update. Hooray! The update included a new functionality in landscape mode!
