### 2/5 — Unreliable & limited functions

*2016-09-30, version 1.3*

App consistently crashes every few weeks. Deleting & reloading the app is the only solution. App is completely down this week.
Extremely likited functions on app versus desktop.

### 1/5 — Bad app for a bad company? Makes sense to me.

*2015-06-18, version 1.1.0*

I'll abstain from rating the company itself but the title says it all.
I keep getting network error in an almost planned way.
It's like every other day the app just starts working for no reason. I've given up on gig masters and will try to dissuade other contractors in my field to stay away from it. (All of the jobs go to the same 4 companies in my industry any ways).

### 2/5 — Needs immediate improvement!

*2015-06-13, version 1.1.0*

Can not see my own personal notes on each gig and this should be a must!
What's the point of having an app if I still have to use my computer each time I bid or follow up on a potential gigs!

### 1/5 — App is an Epic Fail!

*2015-06-03, version 1.1.0*

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, etc., and still get "Network Error". Not able to respond to leads. Also, how can I respond if I cannot see my calendar? Very unprofessional to release unfinished apps such as this. My opinion of GIGMASTERS is diminished as a result.

### 2/5 — Good idea, too many problems.

*2014-12-02, version 1.0.2*

I agree with Jason. That we need to go back and forth between pages to refer to the gig details is pretty inconvenient. Also, the app constantly has notification icons even when I have no unanswered leads or outstanding notifications from GM. The notification icon very rarely reflects the actual number of unanswered leads/notifications on my profile. I stopped using the app after a few days. It's just not laid out very well. I use the browser on my ipad instead.
I would use again if GM made the details viewable on the same page as the bid. I really like the one-page bid process of the website.

### 2/5 — Safari is still much better

*2014-11-02, version 1.0.2*

I find it much easier to use safari than this app for submitting bids.

When needing to look back at the inquiry for more information, all that I have entered into the "bid page" is lost.

Also, I would like to be able to search bids on all of my accounts, as I am able to do on a desktop browser.

I am glad this app was made, but will continue using mobile & desktop browsers.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — A non-functional waste of time

*2023-05-22*

What’s the point in even having this thing active if it doesn’t help us to accomplish anything? Truly. You can’t respond to anyone, book anything, you can’t send a quote. What is this thing even for?

And the web UI makes it nigh impossible to zoom in on the leads inbox and conduct business. If The Bash doesn’t improve their mobile interface, they’re putting absolutely everyone at a significant disadvantage.

### 1/5 — They are evil

*2021-09-10, version 1.8*

First of all, this app is garbage. But that’s obvious.

What’s not obvious is that the company behind this app is not just incompetent, they are intentionally manipulative. In order to cancel your subscription, you have to call them. Then they won’t let you use their service for the remainder of the time you have already paid for if you cancel. I don’t know how this is even legal, let alone allowed in the App Store

### 1/5 — Limited access

*2019-11-21, version 1.8*

This app never worked as well as going to the website on the computer. It is very incomplete.
Today, however, I find that it won’t open at all. It has been working until now, and everything else works on my phone. I’m guessing the app has been altered and/or “improved” rendering it useless to some lucky users like me. Since I pay dearly for this service, I thinks it’s really nasty of the company to have such a bad, non functioning app. Some of us can’t afford the luxury of sitting at home next to the computer and waiting for leads to answer. We need the app to work!

### 1/5 — Reviewing the app, not the service

*2019-09-12, version 1.8*

It keeps crashing and was updated 2 years (!!) ago. They just launched a new business brand under “The Bash” so one can only hope for an updated app.

Other than crashing, the app is very unorganized and it’s hard to quote people. I prefer going on the mobile Webbrowser.

### 1/5 — Bunk

*2019-05-28, version 1.8*

Can’t even log in. Maybe take some of those
Membership Fees and fix this. Apparently it’s been like this for about a year.

### 1/5 — Vendor Beware

*2019-03-11, version 1.8*

Gig Masters website looks like it was built in the 90s. This app is not much better. If you are a vendor beware. Simple information like who is supposed to pay for what Is not easily available. It works on the honor system with customers. Just had a customer insist they paid online when they did not and there was no way for me to verify it since gigmasters offices are closed on the weekend. I highly recommend gigsalad over gigmasters. You will get screwed less.

### 1/5 — horrible

*2018-07-17, version 1.8*

cant get past the log in page, please fix this!!

### 1/5 — Server error

*2017-09-06, version 1.8*

"Fix it fix it fix it!" -Philip J. Fry

### 1/5 — Doesn't even work

*2017-07-09, version 1.8*

It's a great idea. If the thing would even work. I can't even get past the log in screen. Don't get this ap. It's a disappointment. Just use the website

### 1/5 — Mailbox does not clear

*2015-06-28, version 1.1.0*

Mailbox continues to show 5 leads on notifications when in fact there are 0 notifications. I have answered all and it still shows new notifications. Garbage still needs a way to go to make it a functional app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice!

*2014-11-03, version 1.0.2*

Nice to see Gigmasters has an app. Off to a good start hope to see it improve.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I've been looking for.

*2014-10-28, version 1.0.2*

I have been using GigMasters for about a year now and I am thrilled that we can finally take leads on the go!

### 4/5 — Why the bad reviews?

*2018-12-23, version 1.8*

I think the bad reviews are from an older buggy version. This is a great app. I use it all of the time. I really would want to see more (being able to customize responses and the ability to delete and move my old leads.

The WORST part of the app (and why I can’t do 5 stars) is that lead notification number (where it says how many unresponded to leads I have is completely and totally broken all of the time. It ALWAYS tells me that I have more unread leads than I have. Every time I open the app it says I have three more than I actually have. Annoying. App is still great- I’ll give 5 stars when that is fixed :)

### 4/5 — Shows potential, no glitches here

*2015-06-27, version 1.1.0*

I'm not seeing the issues others are seeing. My IPad, IPhone, and email receive leads at almost precisely the same time. My phone and IPad are running different iOS versions.

I wish that deleting old leads was easier, and editing saved responses was possible. I am interested in seeing how many others have responded to the gig, as well (like on the website). The app hasn't gotten me more gigs, but my response times have certainly improved. It's made my try a little harder to keep up with the more successfully ands in my area. I'm happy!

### 4/5 — Sync problem

*2015-03-15, version 1.1.0*

App and website need better synchronization.
- Not everything that I receive an email for shows up on the app.

Does the trash ever empty?

### 3/5 — Needs updating for more features

*2022-12-22, version 1.11.0*

The Bash app is ok, why? Because it’s very basic, it doesn’t allow you to do a lot on it other than change some personal info, reply to a lead and use your saved responses for those leads. The web is where you have to do the rest like setting up templates, changing profile, etc and so on.

### 3/5 — Network Error

*2017-09-18, version 1.8*

I am getting a network error when opening the application.

### 3/5 — Limited functions

*2016-08-12, version 1.3*

Can't view my profile on the app. When I tried to view my saved responses, the app crashes. Seems to be very basic. Haven't tried to submit a bid from the app yet.

### 3/5 — Good start

*2015-03-11, version 1.1.0*

This is a start however I would like to see more updates with more functionality.

### 3/5 — A step in the right direction

*2014-10-29, version 1.0.2*

This app is a step in the right direction. With GM's recent 48 hour thing, this makes it MUCH more convenient for a response while you are on the go.

I'm not used to the lay-out yet, but I'm sure it will get easier over time
