### 2/5 — Crashing error

*2026-06-27*

Came here to echo what another review noted that the app crashes when you attempt to purchase with the 7 day free trial. The app looks promising besides that

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback, and sorry you hit this. We tracked down the crash in the 7-day trial/subscription flow and fixed it in the latest version. Please update and try again. If anything still goes wrong, reach out through support and we’ll investigate right away.

### 1/5 — Can’t purchase

*2026-05-28*

App keeps crashing when I keep trying to purchase the free trial. Looks good otherwise but could do with more customization, Marvin 3 let you choose font weight and background color, etc. Still looking for an e-reader as good as Marvin and have sadly yet to find it

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback, and sorry you hit this. We tracked down the crash in the 7-day trial/subscription flow and fixed it in the latest version. Please update and try again. If anything still goes wrong, reach out through support and we’ll investigate right away. We’ve also added font weight controls and more theme colors in this update, and we’d love to hear what other reading customization options would make Leaf better for you.

### 5/5 — Wonderful!

*2026-04-11*

So happy to have found this. So much better and cleaner than other readers. Also I’m completely sold on the vertical swipe, can’t ever see myself going back to horizontal.
A couple of features I’d love to see:
- Progress sync between devices (I often read on my iPhone on the train and on my iPad in bed, for example). I already have my book files in iCloud, it would be great if I could just pick up where I left off on another device.
- Some form of [optional] progress indicator at the bottom of the “leaf”. Personally I’d like a percentage, but a “location x/y” à la Kindle would be fine too.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much. I’m really glad the vertical swipe clicked for you.

Progress sync is now available in the latest version as part of leaf Pro, so you can pick up on another device from where you left off. It also syncs highlights, notes, shelves, and reading journals.

The progress indicator has now been added on the new version.
