Went for a half hour and loved it went all over canal the machine ended up shutting off but that was because I didn’t know the hours they operated I called the customer support and the explained local laws required it but were extremely friendly and helpful with more information about them. I had no issues with the app, very professional and it was accurate on location for me so they must’ve updated since the other reviews. I got to meet the owners today, super nice couple! If there’s bird scooters around you, use those instead. ### 1/5 — Charges by the minute *2025-06-05, version 1.85* Never again. $14 for 7 minutes is crazy. ### 1/5 — Fails on launch *2024-03-20, version 1.84* When I open Leaf I get an error alert over a map: “ Something went wrong An error occurred while opening the app. Please try again. Instead, they charged me a whole new payment for my ride instead of withdrawing from the money I had put on my account for future use. ### 1/5 — Expensive and shoddy. No customer service. *2020-06-05, version 1.6* A bad version of lime, scooters are awful and cheaply made. They’re either half broken when you get on or break while you’re riding. Very very expensive. The customer service also doesn’t even reply. ### 1/5 — Terrible customer service *2019-08-19, version 1.1* My scooter, while at 100% battery, would shut off whenever I would be traveling at max speed for more than five seconds. Half the time, my scooter would go far less than max speed with the throttle pushed all the way down. Furthermore when I was having payment issues from me being overcharged on a promotion, I left a message on the app (there is no actual telephone number) to let them know what the issue was and they never got back to me. It’s been about two weeks since this happened and I’ve left more messages but it seems that the two college kids running the entire thing are ignoring me. ### 1/5 — Fun.... but too Expensive *2019-07-22, version 1.1* Fun to ride around with, but cost 30 cents a minute, which is double the amount of scooters in the cities and most areas. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2019-07-07, version 1.0* Looks like I’m walking! ### 1/5 — Leaf needs to leave Duluth *2019-07-06, version 1.0* They charge almost 50 cents per minute- 3 to 4 times more expensive than their competitors. Getting an Uber is much cheaper. Not to mention how they are being left in the middle of sidewalks everywhere- a tripping hazard for pedestrians and cyclists. Nobody is wearing a helmet on them and they go just as fast as bikes but have smaller wheels making them more dangerous to ride than bikes. People are extremely reckless with driving adding to the danger. It’s inevitable that someone will start throwing them off the piers in canal introducing a BIG pollution problem that could be harmful to the ships as well. The GPS on the app is faulty too. Please do Duluth a favor and don’t get this app or support this company. They are making our sidewalks more dangerous and scooter pollution will get out of hand if they decide to expand. ### 1/5 — Brutal ride service *2019-07-06, version 1.0* Was trying to get a scooter and the app said there was a scooter at a certain spot on the app and we went to multiple places on the app and none of them had any of the scooters near by so it was very bad service and I will never use them again.
