## What is Leaf Time Clock?

Leaf Time Clock is the shift-tracking app for caregivers at agencies running on the Leaf platform. It replaces paper timesheets and call-in systems with a shift record that is captured on your phone, at the home, as the visit happens.

You'll need an account from the agency that employs you. Leaf Time Clock is not a general-purpose time tracker and cannot be used without one.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• See today's shift the moment you open the app — the home, the residents you are supporting, your scheduled hours, and how far away you are.
• Clock in and out in one tap. Your location is recorded at each punch to satisfy Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements.
• Record the care tasks you completed when you clock out.
• Review your upcoming schedule days ahead.
• Confirm your shift times and services for EVV sign-off, so payroll and billing aren't waiting on you.
• Get a reminder before a shift starts and if you're still clocked in after it should have ended.

BUILT FOR SHARED-HOUSING CARE

Shifts are organized around the home rather than a single client, so a caregiver supporting several residents under one roof clocks in once and sees everyone they're responsible for on that shift.

ABOUT LOCATION

Leaf Time Clock records your location when you clock in and when you clock out. This is how visits are verified for Medicaid billing under EVV rules. Location is only read while you are using the app — it does not track you between shifts or in the background.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.0 — 2026-10-03

A simpler start, and signatures at clock-out.

• Getting started. Open the invite from your agency, tap Get started, and create your account right in the app with the email address your agency has on file — no separate sign-up page. Already have an account? Tap Log in.

• Signatures at clock-out. If your agency asks for signatures, the app now collects them after you clock out: you sign for the visit's times if asked, then hand the phone to your client. Your clock-out is recorded first, so it never waits on a signature.

• Deleting your account. You can now ask to delete your account from Account → Delete account. The screen explains which visit records your agency must keep by law.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-30

Sign for visits your office entered by hand.

• Visits to Sign. When your office enters or changes the times on one of your visits — a clock-out you missed, for example — the visit appears under Visits to Sign, and the app reminds you when you are back at that house. You sign for the times, then hand the phone to your client to sign. If they can't, you can record why: they refused, are asleep, or are unable to sign.

• First launch no longer fails with an error while the server is waking up, so you don't have to tap Retry.

• Just installed from an invite? The sign-in screen now tells you to tap the invite link again, so the app connects to your agency.

### 1.3.2 — 2026-09-27

Clearer answers when something can't be done.

• Clock Out explains itself. When it is greyed out, tapping it tells you why — for example, that the time to clock out has passed and who to contact.

• A shift that was canceled after you clocked in no longer offers Clock Out.

• Directions take you to the house's street address instead of a pin on the map, so your map app can route you to the door.

• If the email you signed in with isn't set up for Leaf, the app now tells you which email it was and to contact your agency, instead of just saying sign-in failed.

• The warning when you are away from the house names the house.

• Pair Tablet only appears at shared houses, where there is a tablet to pair.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-09-26

Fixes for problems that made 1.3.0 hard to use.

• You stay signed in. The app no longer shows "Error loading shifts" about 15 minutes after you sign in, and no longer needs you to sign out and back in to recover.

• A brief loss of connection, such as right after unlocking your phone, no longer hides your shifts behind an error that stays up after the connection returns. Your shifts stay on screen, a banner says they may be out of date, and it clears itself once the app reconnects.

• When shifts cannot be loaded at all, the screen now says so, instead of saying you have no shifts scheduled.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-09-25

The app is now called Leaf Time Clock everywhere, matching its name on the App Store.

This release is mostly about location, because that is what a clock-in depends on.

• Distances now read in feet and miles instead of metres, everywhere they appear.

• Location is far more dependable on first run. A permission prompt could be cancelled before you ever saw it, leaving the banner on "Acquiring GPS…" with a Retry button that could not work. That is fixed, and Retry is always available.

• A punch that cannot go through now tells you why and what to change, instead of leaving a greyed-out button with no explanation. If you turn location on from somewhere else, the app notices without being reopened.

• Clock-ins and clock-outs are now recorded against a fresh position rather than the last one your phone happened to have.

• When the reading is approximate, the app says so and shows how far off it may be, rather than hiding the number.

• Punching in or out away from the house now asks you to confirm by typing APPROVE. Out-of-range punches are still recorded, and still reviewed.

• Clock-out tasks now come from each client's care plan instead of a fixed list.

• Sign-off no longer records a signed visit as a client refusal.

• "Email support" now reaches a real address.
