## What is Leafwise?

Identify a plant from a photo on your device, then get a curated care card. Leafwise Pro is a subscription with a free trial; it auto-renews until cancelled in Settings.

Leafwise helps you name the plants around you and keep them alive. Point your camera or pick a photo and Leafwise returns ranked species candidates with a confidence read, so you see honest alternatives instead of one overconfident guess. When an image is rare, blurry, or not a plant, Leafwise tells you it is unsure rather than inventing an answer.

Local matching uses Apple Vision as an on-device fallback. Enhanced ID is optional and sends the selected plant photo to the selected provider only after your consent, so Leafwise can improve species matches without pretending the coarse local route is perfect.

Use Leafwise to:

- Identify plants from a photo, with ranked candidates and a confidence read
- Open a curated care card for each plant: light, water cadence, humidity, temperature, soil, repotting, common problems, and growth habit
- Save plants to My Garden, a local, offline collection that stays on your phone and survives relaunch
- Set optional per-plant local watering reminders that fire offline
- See honest, horticultural-only care guidance, with an unknown state when coverage is thin

Care guidance comes from a curated, horticultural care knowledge base, never invented facts. Species the knowledge base does not cover fall back to general guidance instead of made-up specifics.

What Leafwise does not do: it does not claim to identify every plant exactly, does not provide edibility, foraging-safety, or pet-toxicity information, and does not give medical or health advice. My Garden is stored locally and is user-owned, with no cloud backup or cross-device sync.

Leafwise Pro is an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks full access to identifications and care cards beyond the free preview:

- Yearly: includes a 7-day free trial
- Weekly: includes a 3-day free trial

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription auto-renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
