### 4/5 — Good app but has a problem

*2026-05-16, version 6.3*

This is a good app BUT it has a problem once your leak has been resolved - it continues to display that action is required. There is no way apparently to dismiss this other than by completely reinstalling the system which is nuts! You can do a password reset to restart the ‘leak days free’ counter but not the ‘action required’ element. Developers please sort this out.

### 2/5 — Glitchy App not able to set up

*2026-04-11, version 6.3*

My insurance company sent we a leakbot saying it would take 5min to set up. The leakbot app kept freezing during the setup process. After wasting 30min trying to unsussesfilly setup my leakbot account gave up. Running latest version of iOS on iPhone 16 Pro

### 4/5 — Need photo library access

*2026-04-03, version 6.3*

Easy enough to install. Would like to see an option to access photos from the phone library since uploading photo didn’t work well and crawling back down to the crawl space wasn’t a fun option.

### 4/5 — Weak/bad batteries

*2025-11-06, version 6.1.1*

You sent it with weak batteries. After contacting for help on How to access the batteries I was able to connect. The red light would not come on by pushing the green button.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — One false positive after another

*2026-08-01, version 6.4*

Garbage product. Completely useless.

### 1/5 — App sucks

*2026-07-24, version 6.4*

App no longer recognizes device. Can’t connect to network. Just gets emails and texts telling me to reconnect but it isn’t possible because clearly the app is broken and no longer recognizes the device. Batteries are fully charged. No troubleshooting guidance available in the app. All problems started when the app said the original batteries had died around the same time the app had an update. Should have checked those batteries, the app probably lied and they were fine, just the app was broken.

### 1/5 — Not worth paying for

*2026-07-13, version 6.4*

My insurance company provides this for free but I would not pay for it. The app showed a leak but the phone number that the app—and their email—doesn’t work. I installed the app on my Android device to get the correct phone number. The first time I reached someone I told them about the incorrect phone number and someone was supposed to return my call to schedule a technician, but they didn’t. The second call finally got a technician scheduled—two weeks out. Please note that they don’t send out licensed plumbers, nor do they address leaks in showers or on irrigation systems. Also, when I asked the water department in my town about my usage they could not see continuous water usage.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-06-25, version 6.3*

The app showed a leak immeadiately after installation. I spoke with someone 10 days ago who said that I’d get a call from a plumber. Nobody called and when I went to the app to contact someone the number doesn’t work. I would not pay for this service and wonder why anyone would.

### 1/5 — Piece of trash

*2026-04-11, version 6.3*

Device doesn’t work. Can’t connect to a home network. I am a network engineer so trust me if I can’t get it to work neither will you. AVOID!!!

### 1/5 — Great Idea Awful Support

*2026-02-25, version 6.1.1*

Think twice before you go with a LeakBot if you have any problems there is basically no support. They are slow to respond and when they do it is an AI driven response. My LeakBot died and will not discover any WiFi networks. The app has a place to contact support but support never responds and basically says you cannot contact them via the app it. After reaching out over email they responded with a generic procedure for connecting to WiFi. I responded again stating the device will not discover networks not that it will not connect and they sent back the exact same email a second time. So if you want to take the risk that you won’t have any problems you should be fine, if you do, just toss the device because help isn’t coming.

### 1/5 — Might work if it fit

*2025-11-16, version 6.1.1*

Installed the app, which claims to be a simple installation of the leakbot. This is an older, smaller house with tight spaces. Couldn’t figure out how to clip leakbot to the pipe in a tight area, let alone in the “right direction.”

### 1/5 — Doesn’t connect to phone or WiFi and just beeps

*2025-09-16, version 6.1.1*

Not the most helpful thing!

### 1/5 — Won’t connect

*2025-08-10, version 6.1*

Stuck demanding pictures. I just want to connect to new WiFi and it’s just picture happy

### 1/5 — Could not install

*2025-06-29, version 6.0*

I could not find the location to install the LeakBot within the as lotted time. Wasted money

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Toilet valve not totally shutting off

*2026-06-14, version 6.3*

LeakBot let me know that the toilet tank valve wasn’t totally shutting off after the tank was filled. I adjusted the screw on the top of the valve and now it shuts off.

### 5/5 — Simple to use and setup

*2026-05-10, version 6.3*

Simple easy to use and setup

### 5/5 — Easy and quick to install

*2026-05-03, version 6.3*

Highly recommend, this was quick and easy to install, and the app very clearly walked us through the process

### 5/5 — Easy. Free. Alerted me.

*2026-04-12, version 6.3*

Easiest installation ever. Emailed me a year later about detected leak. It was an outdoor faucet not all the way off.

### 5/5 — Leak Bot

*2026-01-14, version 6.1.1*

Easy to set up and install if your water mains pipe is easily accessible!

### 5/5 — Mr

*2025-12-15, version 6.1.1*

Henderson

### 5/5 — Water leak detection

*2025-11-14, version 6.1.1*

Accurate and absolutely helpful

### 5/5 — Works well- detected a small leak. Impressive

*2025-11-01, version 6.1.1*

I installed this about 9 months ago. I admit I was skeptical but the useage stats seem to be spot on. Last night I got an alert to a “small but steady amount of water escaping”. Sure enough I found a toilet cistern that was drip-drip-dripping. Fixed. Gives me great confidence that the device and app are doing g their job.

### 5/5 — Easy to Install

*2025-10-22, version 6.1.1*

Took 2 tries to find router, but otherwise a cinch to install!

### 5/5 — My LeakBot Install

*2025-10-19, version 6.1.1*

I’m still not 100% sure if this is the correct location, but because this is a 3 level house, this is the water line that enters my house from the outside, away from any splits, because all of that starts to happen when I get close to my hot water heater & all the various pipes that go to various rooms in this house and outside in addition to the sprinkler system.
