I agree with some of the other reviews, the app is virtually useless and unreliable other than perhaps logging your time in a matter. Unreliability in downloading word documents, unreliability in saving word documents that you’ve worked on and then sent back into LEAP and having them NOT update to the newest version of your draft, the list goes on and on. I am happy with customer support they’ve attempted to help me each and every time but Leap really needs to address the issues with the mobile app. It is absolutely not what it is claim to be. if you are planning to purchase Leap primarily because of the mobility of the software on your smart phone or iPad do not do it, it is not reliable. Leap either needs to fix the mini flaws with this app or they should simply remove it from their software and they certainly shouldn’t use it as a sales pitch. Extremely disappointed with the Leap iOS app ### 1/5 — Awful customer service *2023-04-11* Do not use them ### 3/5 — Needs work *2022-03-10* This app freezes at every single chance it gets meaning I have to keep reloading the app. When it runs well it is good software ### 4/5 — Email *2022-03-01* The app does not display the email header fully, most notably the date of the email is cut out of the view and can’t be reduced to reveal it. Looks like it is set for the bigger screen of the iPad. Documents are displayed in a pop up small panel rather than as a full screen. This makes the document difficult to read and it won’t enlarge. ### 5/5 — It actually does what it says it could (edit: sometimes can open 50MBs+ files) *2022-01-23* Actually work quite well since last update. Thank you for listening to feedbacks. Updated review: Pros: Since last update, the app has more features. E.g. I can quickly write a file note or pinned comment, or a time entry without using a PC. It doesn’t crash as much when reviewing docs above 50MBs in size although. The app does feel a bit of a work in progress. Cons: Can only open and view 50MBs+ files some of the time. Sometimes, usually when you search for a specific document, you click it and it opens something else (e.g. a PDF ASIC search, click and it opens an email). **Developer response:** Hi drkderek, Thanks for your feedback, there is more exciting features in the pipeline. ### 2/5 — Needs to be able to provide calendar and to do functionality. *2022-01-08* Needs proper calendar and to do functionality. Currently, you can create, update your tasks and appointments from within the app which synchronises the items with your Outlook calendar if your Microsoft 365 account is connected correctly. Due to Apple security limitations, we are not able no to intercept your incoming calls or read your SMS at this stage. Formatted signatures are on our radar. Please visit our Help Centre to learn more. ### 2/5 — App stinks *2022-01-03* Not up to date meaning my matters that appear in the software do not appear in the app. After discussing a resolution with customer service, all they could do is take down my login info and “reenact” what happened. It’s been a month and no resolution. I tried again today and nothing is populating. I logged in online via my phone and the website doesn’t even work. What the heck is this?!?! I rely on their program on the daily and it seems like it has a kind of its own. Some days it works and some days it doesn’t. I’ve tried many ways to find a few matters but it’s hard work unlikely to get the results you want. Searching client matters might show one but not all, sometimes none at all, searching by description the same, but works with non-archived on archived matters but not the current matter I’m looking for. What does non-archived even mean!! ### 1/5 — Mfa does not work *2026-02-05* Mfa does not work ### 1/5 — Time Thief *2025-05-12, version 3.6.3* LEAP Simply does not work like you’re told . I am over a year and a half deep with this product on a three-year contract . It was so bad that there was to be an extra license provided … but then the LEAP executive vanished . Months later I was told they are no longer with the company . So many glitches and so much trouble . My staff have double to triple the work. Incredible stress. Recently, I discovered that trust money appeared to be missing on my iPhone app . But on the desktop, the trust funds were A-OK . I reached out to LEAP and I was told that you can’t look at trust funds on the app and depend on the Numbers . In the past, I could . Now I can’t . All new trust money going in for months does not record in the app. LEAP simply says that’s not supported in the app . But the app advertisement says it is and why wouldn’t it be . All glitches and new glitches. This App is full of bugs. Still - Horrible. ### 1/5 — Zero tech support *2024-12-12* Do not purchase LEAP. When confronted with a technical question, they will send you an article and expect you to handle it yourself. ### 1/5 — The worst software!!! It is now the last days of October. Despite my issue being ramped up …no technical resolution. All time entered in Leap automatically populate in outlook calendar to Greenwich meantime. I am in EST. Have travel with a heavy PC or laptop ### 1/5 — Would not recommend *2023-05-25* My office started using Leap 2 years ago and it is one of the worst investments we’ve made. Support is terrible. The app on ipad is close to worthless (ex. - cannot download a Word document for editing). We’re a small practice that does litigation in Texas. The matter templates and tables were clearly not designed by anyone who if familiar with litigation. The templates and tables used to populate data or autogenerate reminders, tasks and deadlines (Leap calls them “Critical Dates”) are not configurable so you are stuck with whatever arbitrary choices Leap makes. After we purchased we realized that it was an underdeveloped product imported from Australia and apparently based on its legal system. In 2 years there has been very little improvement or effort to tailor it to its intended American customers. We were unable to keep truck of time, matters, documents and use of extensive library with the matter of click . The tech support is fantastic. You can capture documents and put them right into the matter. No more asking clerks for copies. There’s no more going back to the office and having to file all of your documents because they’ll be filed before you leave the court, you can assign your tasks to your staff wherever you are. You can be on a beach in Jamaica while running the office in Boston.. LEAP offers superior control over you case files in the palm of your hand.
