Event was great but could have used some free water, perhaps more paced speed dating with some snacks. App functionality needs to be better as no way to identify/search ppl you speak or talk to and also basic touch/tap doesn’t always work as profiles don’t seem to load consistently. It defaults you to 18 years old and keeps updating the DOB to the current date. The events can range from a small meet up of 90 people to 400-500 people. These events are growing - but the app is growing even faster. I remember the app when it first launched, we all wondered what the need was. But clearly it has carved a market for itself. And it’s growing pretty fast! Today it’s probably one of the better dating apps in the market for South Asians in North America. Cuts through the noise, no ads, no nonsense, no swipes. VIP plan is rather affordable, events are not too bad too. It gets you matched and then forces you to meet up. The app doesn’t have a friend zone or BFF like bumble does. The apps marketing has also been spot on, and I have gone on a few dates with some men I met on here. I would like to suggest that the developers look into adding a way to socialize on the app. Like Reddit does, talk about issues - or even a group discussion or rooms. I’d definitely give this app a 4.5/5 and would recommend my friends. ### 1/5 — The event was horrible *2024-02-05* Me and my buddy attended an event on the weekend. I was excited to go there, but I met someone and I thought she looked familiar for I saw her before. She was someone else and on the app she is a divorcee. She even made the whole event weird for me and my friend. Please make the event separate for singles that not married and another separate event for divorcees . **Developer response:** Hi Trainesh, while i understand you had concerns at the event, we cant control people and their motives in the real world through an app just yet. People who lie, and cheat are goijg to find a way to do it regardless of what ever we enforce. But we will take this feedback to see what we can improve on. In the future, just pull an event host aside and ask them to look into the persons details, and we will speak to them to make sure we get it set right. I’ve used other apps that boil No people down to photos and swipes. Then Monica told me about Leap events in San Jose, and I was traveling for work. Turns out 3 of my other friends were also going so I decided to try it out. I met so many singles there! Their event in San Jose had over 400 singles!! 🫣 I’ve never seen such large singles events!!! And the amazing part is how well the events are structured. It almost feels like you are meeting old friends. I ended up exchanging numbers but really felt a connection with one of the guys on the guest list and went on a few dates until I saw that we both wanted the same things from life too.
