### 4/5 — Very good app to learn how to speak arabic

*2019-09-22*

I just started and found to be good to learn...

### 2/5 — Ok but the bolded Arabic isn’t correct

*2018-06-24*

I really want to like this app, however the bolded Arabic at the top isn't correct. If you compare it to the smaller underneath the transliteration, it’s missing all of the vowel markings, and there’s no way to zoom in on the smaller version to see the word better.

### 4/5 — Helps

*2017-10-18*

Good

### 4/5 — Quick study

*2016-04-07, version 4.8*

Just pick up your pad, and do a lesson anytime. Work on it a while or a short time.

### 4/5 — Slight difference between the pronunciation and the Arabic script

*2015-12-29*

It can become confusing at times as the student tries to learn vocabulary. I believe the target Arabic dialect is Masri (Egyptian) which is not too different from Modern Standard Arabic. Otherwise the pictures, sound, and script are consistent. The category groupings offer just enough learning content without being too clustered.

### 4/5 — Fun to learn and use :)

*2015-06-26*

Easy to use and to learn

### 4/5 — Looks good

*2015-05-06, version 4.5.1*

I think I will like this

### 4/5 — Nice App

*2015-04-06*

Good to have this app to learn arabic

### 3/5 — Very disappointing

*2015-04-04*

I downloaded this again after deleting it to see if it had improved, but again it has very little Egyptian Arabic words, not even the basic greetings are correct. I will be deleting it again and look elsewhere to improve my Egyptian Arabic. Very disappointing.

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2015-02-19*

This app help me a lot with my Arabic especially if you want to know Egyptian Arabic

### 2/5 — Decent start

*2014-10-22, version 4.1.1*

Many audio playbacks are bout correct with the selected vocab word.
There is only so many words you can look at on the free version.

### 5/5 — Loving it

*2014-08-20, version 4.1.1*

Thanks

### 5/5 — Great app

*2014-06-04*

Great app, very useful for learning wherever you are, does not need wifi if you have the podcasts downloaded!

### 5/5 — Great piece

*2014-05-13*

Yes, it helps greatly! For the best tool enhancing Arabic.

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2014-04-20, version 4.1.1*

This is the best app ever

### 5/5 — Great language app

*2014-03-07, version 4.1.1*

Easy to use, great features like record/listen/compare for pronunciation, clearly structured.

### 3/5 — Not bad

*2014-03-03*

The app helps me with the pronunciation and English translation of words, but doesn't actually help in the long run. To be more effective, it would need to provide day-to-day lessons in their entirety, rather than words. Learning an irrelevant word everyday won't help to learn the language as a whole overall.

### 3/5 — Useful

*2014-02-27, version 4.1.1*

It is useful for me as a beginner. Lots of thanks.

### 3/5 — Arabic

*2014-01-27*

I am enjoying learning more Arabic words & it helps me understand a few more words when I listen to Arabic music.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Spoken words don't match written words

*2014-10-01, version 4.1.1*

Some words are mispronounced, and some are just totally different. For example, the word "تقويم" - taqweem is pronounced nateeja.

### 1/5 — Not fully Egyptian

*2013-07-02, version 4.1.1*

Northern Egyptians pronounce ج as /g/ and not /j/. I have not once heard /g/. Also at times some words are not common in Egypt and are more Shamy or other dialects on the Arabian peninsula. At times the word pronounced is not the word written.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2013-01-27*

Don't bother

### 1/5 — What a piece air Arabic crap

*2012-08-04, version 3.2.2*

I downloaded this twice just to get to work. The app does practically nothing. Maybe I am too stupid to figure it out. The next and previous buttons do nothing. There is no info on what you are even supposed to do with the app. It's free but don't waste your time or hard drive space. Total Arabic crap.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2012-06-15*

So, I have 4 words so far on this app. Any ideas as to what I can do with: 900, bellboy, emergency exit and library??? Time to delete. It's taking up valuable space on my phone.....

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2012-01-21, version 3.1.1*

Complete waste of time. I only get 1 word - silver. What kind of junk is this?? Do NOT get!!

### 1/5 — App doesn't work

*2012-01-04, version 3.1.1*

It doesn't work. There is no sound and the word bank is empty. Would be nice to have instructions as well. Didn't get the point of the app. Very poor.

### 1/5 — Only has one word in free version

*2011-12-16, version 3.1.1*

The free version only has one word to study. It also does not automatically show the pictures relating words, you have to select to view them.

Other free apps have clusters of words to learn such as numbers, colours, clothing and so on but on this I can't see if the full version would have this functionality and it is definitely not included on the free version.

### 1/5 — Wasted idea

*2011-08-30*

I'm waiting to see how long I give this app before deleting it. The one-a-day word it spews put seems to be a random selection and for the past week has primarily offered a word that no beginner would think of wanting to know. A bit like opening a dictionary at random.

Re-working it, both to give away a little more at the basic level and to ensure that sets of words are relevant to a particular learning level might offer it the chance of being both useful and successful.

Unless it is improved, it is little more than an ingenious, half-baked, three-quarters waste if space.

### 1/5 — Poor

*2011-07-17*

This is not Egyptian Arabic and is confusing. This should not be called Egyptian or have the Egyptian flag on it.

### 5/5 — Learn Arabic

### 5/5 — I ❤️ Egypt

*2017-06-06*

This is the perfect App for learning Arabic on the go. Thanks for All U do to Make It Better 😘. Eygyptian Arabic is all I've ever wanted to learn. Not German, not French, although my heart belongs to these countries. Arabic is All I Want to learn.

### 5/5 — Power words

*2016-12-20*

Love it so far been very helpful & would recommend it to any of my brothers & sisters enjoying it for now mashallah

### 5/5 — Easiest way to learn in a couple minutes a day

*2016-10-31*

I have used this program to gain background in a number of languages. It gives you a good introductory vocabulary and a couple example sentences for each word. In addition, it has both Romanized and authentic writing for languages with other writing systems. For example, for Chinese it has the English transcription for pronunciation, along with the simplified and more complex characters. This is a fantastic program, and I recommend it to anyone trying to learn the basics in a new language.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2016-04-06*

Most useful app for learning basic Arabic due to its simplicity
