Ive been using this for years but now when i start app it syncs to icloud and never loads. Its a shame really, this WAS such a fantastic app once

But takes up way too much space on my phone. I am a developer and instead of loading the words into memory please give some option to like make a packets ajax request to load a bunch of words at once in the background. A vocab list even top tier shouldn't take 700MB optimized

I like this app. I paid £7.99 for the upgrade to the full version. I'm not sure it's worth £7.99 but I am happy with the app, quite a few useful resources. It's great for beginners who just want to learn loads of vocabulary and also each word has sample phrases, so you can see how the word is used too. And there is audio for all of that, which is super useful because Portuguese pronunciation is pretty tricky. I also found "Portuguese Pod 101" through this app, which is a free website full of lessons and resources and audio clips. Loving Portuguese!

Practical, easy and fun way to learn words and phrases you're likely to use often. Even conjunctions are introduced, which the student picks up without being intimidated. Great way to improve vocabulary, reading, pronunciation and overall comprehension. I particularly benefitted from the using the word in sentences tool.

After updating to 4.6 the app crashes on the startup screen. I have tried re-starting iPhone and re-installing the app with no success. Tried multiple times to contact tech support through their website, each attempt failing to send. I am running an iPhone 4 which is restricted to iOS 7.1.2 so don't let my review discourage you if you're a little more up to date than me. But I find it frustrating that Innovative Languages released this version for iOS7 when it clearly doesn't work.

I purchased the full version but so far the variety of vocabulary is laughable. In the art section the word "foto" repeats four times in the list and there are no expressions like "to take a photo"

-NEW: you asked for it. You got it! You can now have multiple custom word lists in your Word Bank. Take control of organizing your study sessions. Wondering where your old Word Bank went? Don't worry. Your existing Word Bank will be moved to the new Starred word list. If you have an iCloud account, all of your custom lists and your Starred list will be backed up to iCloud and synced across your devices.
-NEW: add a word to one of your custom word lists by tapping on the new "Add to List" button on the word detail screen. You can also quickly add a word to the Starred list by tapping on the Star icon in the upper right.
-NEW: a beautiful new user interface
