Also, people are reporting problems with quotes. The problem is that by default, hitting the quote button writes smart quotes “”, but C++ only accepts true quotes "", which can by typed by holding down the button. This is a simple oversight that they should’ve told you before you started coding ### 2/5 — Comment/Quotes are broken *2025-05-04* Any lesson that involves using quotes for comments is broken. Won’t let you pass the lesson. Very immersive breaking and hard to feel like you are learning when you are fighting the app every other lesson. The lessons that work are great but I can’t recommend as is. ### 2/5 — Fix the app *2023-08-13, version 1.0* going into each excercise for some reason when you type the correct answer it just wont pick it up ### 3/5 — Proof reading required *2023-06-29, version 1.0* A nicely constructed and reasonably priced app that lets itself down in a few areas: 1. Occasionally unclear language describing the test to be resolved. 2. Several typos in the solution (use of a single colon rather than double colons pointing to std namespace) 3. Rejected solutions that are perfectly viable but may, for example use optional parentheses for clarity. I ran several of my solutions in Visual Studio and they worked fine but we're deemed wrong in the app. Just needs a good dose of proof reading and some flexibility in the answer evaluation logic to really raise the value of the app. ### 2/5 — L *2023-05-28, version 1.0* need to pay ### 2/5 — One free chapter? *2023-03-10, version 1.0* I learn a few lines of code that don't mean much and leave more questions answers then I have to buy each chapter there after? Gefordert wird stattdessen " (Unicode U+0022), das erst an anderer Stelle in die Zwischenablage kopiert und in der App eingesetzt werden muss. Etwas unangenehm, aber insgesamt zu verkraften. ### 3/5 — Multiple rating requests are annoying *2021-09-04* I like the app itself as it is helpful in learning C++, so I purchased it. At one point it had asked me to rate it before it would let me move forward. I was okay with that at the time as I was still using the free part of the app, so I rated it. Now, after I purchased it, It is insisting once again that I rate the app and won't let me move forward even after I rated it a second time. I have yet to find a way to move past this. Definitely not happy. ### 4/5 — Idk if I’m doing it wrong or its a bug *2021-08-28* On the very first lesson, just typing “Hi”. Ive entered multiple times exactly how it shows to do it in the hints and it wont accept the input as a correct input. On the 4th lesson it does the same. Tells you exactly what text to enter in the hint, When I do so it still deems it as incorrect. So I’m not sure if this is user error or a bug in the system. After using the app more I have definitely begun to learn some of it and have progressed. But it seems that just about any lesson, where I have to type something in quotes, fill not be able to be input correctly. Even typing exactly what they tell you to in the hints it says it’s incorrect and shows you what you should type which is exactly what you put. Very frustrating not knowing if you are doing something wrong or if the App has issues. Im really not getting paid for this hahah trust me. But nevertheless if you wanna learn C++ you will, it’s a very easy matter with this application. Obviously it will take some time, but nobody‘s gonna stop you; with this application you will eventually learn EVERYTHING of this language which I recommend very much (most mighty I have ever encountered) Good work and thanks for the charity who ever decided to develop this without charging anything or without any adds (wouldn’t bother me either way: for this work you gotta be paid somehow man) ### 5/5 — Nostalgia (also great app from what I remember) *2024-06-28, version 1.0* I’m just writing this cuz I got excited when I found this app again. It’s really nostalgic for me because I started learning to code the summer before I was in fourth grade and this is the very first app I ever used to learn it. I’m 17 now and I might try it again for fun (I don’t remember much C++ so that’d be interesting). I gotta say to anyone who has ANY interest in learning coding ESPECIALLY if you’re still in school, do it. I struggled with math a lot, but once I pushed through learning to code it really helped and I ended up being a year ahead of my grade in math later in my schooling. Also, if you’re a complete beginner, C++ is kinda hard but if you start with it, it makes almost everything else look easy.
