Too expensive and still some faults but no way of contacting. Such a shame... I can see the paid version being useful. I'd want to get hold of it but its just too expensive for an app. Maybe 4.99 for a release. Maybe it's why you don't have any reviews yet? I'd wait to see if it comes down in price before paying for the paid app though. Though some are not used in Taiwan or are very formal. Worth the 20 megs of space. Recordings are clear but maybe too fast for some ears. Get it. ### 4/5 — Love this app *2020-03-27* I love this app, it is free it teaches me how to talk Chinese and it is so much fun to lean with this app you can try it it is very fun ### 4/5 — Nice App *2018-01-18, version 2.3* There are actually 7,332 sentences, with a lot of repeats, either word for word or with slight variations... so in terms of unique content, the app actually has 5-6,000 sentences. They’re all spoken by a native Chinese speaker (not a tts bot) at close to conversation speed, so you get to hear “real Chinese”. I’ve been through the whole list once. What I like to do now is to pick out a section and put it on auto-pilot, letting it read through the list by itself. It’s easy to pause and repeat a particular sentence as many times as you like. There’s a fair amount of colloquial speech, which you don’t typically find in text books. One of my favorite sections is a list of 106 food dishes commonly found in restaurants in China.
