Obviously targetted at complete beginners so who needs to know the word for "beach" as one of the first things they learn for a country where the word is virtually meaningless? They are okay on the iPad. But my 7 year old really likes it. She's been learning Chinese for a while and it's a fun way to practice using question mode. My 2 year old loves hearing and repeating the words for all the animals (her fav category). You can easily press the button at the top to hear the word repeated. Lots of very appropriate words and categories. To the creators: thanks and give us an update soon that has bigger characters because our little ones are smart enough to learn them too.
