### 3/5 — Not bad

*2015-07-25, version 1.7*

Just needs pinyin option as well.

### 3/5 — Ok app

*2015-02-08, version 1.7*

It's an ok app but could be so much more helpful if it had pinyin too.

### 4/5 — Great!

*2014-01-03, version 1.7*

Perfect for my 4yo learning Mandarin as a second language after English! Thank you

### 3/5 — Learning made fun

This app is fun

### 4/5 — It's great when it works

*2013-10-18, version 1.7*

My toddler loves this app but ever since the iPhone update it doesn't work. Hope they get it fixed soon cuz this app is the best! I'm even learning Chinese.

### 4/5 — Good, with some wrong info

*2013-06-07, version 1.6*

In general, the app is good. But there is some wrong info.
Number 5 with wrong Chinese.
Word Blocks with wrong chinese word, different with the picture.
And some others......

### 3/5 — Nice pronunciation but noticed some errors

*2013-04-13, version 1.6*

Errors:
number 5's character should be 五, rather than 万
Cabbage should be 卷心菜, 白菜 is Chinese leaves

### 4/5 — I think it is Great

*2013-03-25, version 1.6*

For not knowing a thing it helps you relate and get a Feel of the pronunciation.

### 3/5 — Wrong character

*2013-02-06, version 1.6*

The chinese character for number five is wrong. The character displayed on wu and shiwu was wan (10 thousand).

### 3/5 — Your numbers 5 spell wrong in Chinese

*2012-11-14, version 1.6*

Hope you will update , thank you

### 4/5 — Like it, but can be improved

*2012-11-01, version 1.5*

Nice app, the addition of Ping yin would make it even better. Wish it weren't so limited. This app has growth potential. Hope they capitalize on it. Overall quite good.

### 5/5 — Great tool to learn

*2012-07-24, version 1.4*

### 5/5 — :)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — does not work

*2020-12-07, version 3.0*

at all

### 1/5 — Wouldn’t work

*2020-01-28, version 3.0*

The app locks up on the intro screen

### 1/5 — Please fix this

*2014-01-16, version 1.7*

I just paid and purchased the non ad version and attempted to play it but the categories won't open. Please fix.

### 1/5 — Have big mistakes

*2013-07-22, version 1.6*

Some Chinese characters are wrong, such as number five, the character is wrong.

### 1/5 — Ads in app a big scam

*2013-06-28, version 1.6*

Watch out! Our toddler happened to touch an ad while using this app and we're now embroiled in a gamifive scam. Highly disappointed that this app doesn't have safeguards against these scam ads, specially since young children use it. Would give negative number rating if i could. User beware!

### 1/5 — We used to love this app

*2012-10-24, version 1.5*

This new update is unusable! The button to go to the next flash card is too close to the ads and a three year old's fingers are not that precise. Or is that what you intended! She can't do more than a couple cards before bumping it and being redirected. Before this she's been using it independently for a year. I'm very disappointed. Do you not test your children's products on children

### 1/5 — No VoiceOver

*2012-07-15, version 1.4*

In my free version the VoiceOver does not work. I shall be deleting this app as the main reason for the download was to hear the sound.

### 1/5 — Useless vocab

*2012-06-02, version 1.4*

Yet another example of a badly thought out vocabulary set. Obviously targetted at complete beginners so who needs to know the word for "beach" as one of the first things they learn for a country where the word is virtually meaningless? Don't waste your time with this, there are other books and programs which will get you somewhere useful quickly.

### 1/5 — Pics & audio out of sync

*2011-07-29, version 1.2*

Says peanuts when showing pancakes, says peanuts when showing pear etc. Worse than broken!

### 2/5 — Need to fix bugs/errors

*2011-06-07, version 1.1*

Some audio tracks are associated with the wrong flash cards need to fix all errors before can be used to teach or learn

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2016-11-06, version 3.0*

A very accurate and easy to use app. Most chinese apps are flooded with ads and lack useful information but this one is great. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-04-20, version 1.7*

It works great!

### 5/5 — Thatusernamesnotavailable

### 5/5 — BEST!!!

*2012-12-09, version 1.6*

The best!!!

### 5/5 — Good app for learning Chinese words, especially game mode

*2012-11-16, version 1.6*

It is good for adults, not only for kids. But not good there is no Transcription in PinYin

### 5/5 — Nice

*2012-10-16, version 1.4*

It's a great tool for any age. The characters are kinda small, other than that 很好

### 5/5 — Where is the audio

*2012-08-22, version 1.4*

There it is....

### 5/5 — Really like this

*2012-08-15, version 1.4*

The Chinese characters really need to be big enough to see on the iPhone. They are okay on the iPad. But my 7 year old really likes it. She's been learning Chinese for a while and it's a fun way to practice using question mode. My 2 year old loves hearing and repeating the words for all the animals (her fav category). You can easily press the button at the top to hear the word repeated. Lots of very appropriate words and categories. To the creators: thanks and give us an update soon that has bigger characters because our little ones are smart enough to learn them too. Would gladly pay for this.
