Now I use it for French as well. Works well thus far. Durch die spielerischen Aspekte beim lernen, prägen sich die Sachen gut und relativ schnell ein, ohne das stumpf Karteikarten o.ä. genutzt werden müssen um die Worte zu lernen. Die App ist so aufgebaut, dass man nicht nur Vokabeln lernt, sondern gleichzeitig auch noch wie man diese in einem Beispielsatz verwenden würde. Jedoch muss man dazu sagen, dass es hier und da noch Fehler gibt die für Verwirrung beim lernen sorgen. Beispielsweise wird zu Beginn einer Lektion ein Wort vorgestellt, welches so danach nicht mehr verwendet wird, sondern stattdessen ein Wort was eine ähnliche/ gleiche Bedeutung hat. Oder die Stimme welche einem die Sätze zum übersetzen vorliest, nutzt ein anderes Wort, als eigentlich zur Auswahl steht. Happy with it so far! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This app is great for learning but… *2024-06-13* I have paid for two month of service by now and have yet to receive the lessons. I can only access the free items in the lessons and have been charged twice by the apple App Store without the proper subscription. I wanted to give the app the benefit of the doubt and spent a month trying to figure things out on top of working two jobs in Croatia where I now live as I’m trying to learn the language, but now this is the second month I’ve paid without service. Which honestly is a shame because the lessons are amazing and even with just the daily lessons it has helped me immensely. ### 1/5 — terrible *2023-06-06, version 7.1.13* you can’t go back. it’s ridiculous and goes against everything known about learning languages- repetition and - worse - if you don’t log in for a day or a few days- you miss those lessons entirely ### 1/5 — Beware- the free trial is a scam. *2022-09-06* Their “7 day free trial” isn’t that. They emailed me after starting the free trial and told me when I would be charged, and when I would need to cancel by. I canceled the day before their quoted date. They charged me that same day- after I had cancelled, and still BEFORE the day they said they would charge me. I contested the charge immediately- still the day before when they said they would charge me- and they refused to undo the charge/subscription. Absolute scam- stay far, far away. Update: their reply to me- suggesting they’ll help resolve the issue- is a lie. I reached out exactly as suggested, and was again denied a cancellation & refund by the same useless customer service representative as before. **Developer response:** Hello, Thank you for the review. It is annoying. I guess I will have to end my current subscription. ### 1/5 — Horrible app *2019-05-15, version 7.1.13* Worst app I’ve ever had. It charged me for stuff I didn’t sign up for. Will be asking for money back. Most of the application doesn’t work or comes up with errors. Daily lessons say try again later. Most of the other options say it can’t connect to the internet. Not horrible, not great. I started using it because it has (Serbo-)Croatian, and none of the other popular language apps did. It has errors, but fewer than Drops. It also has a lot more grammar than Drops, which is almost exclusively vocabulary. It is more flexible than Duolingo, in that you don't have to finish earlier things before going to more advanced things, but I think this is because Duolingo has a lot more grammar, and thus needs that structure. The best thing, perhaps, is that you can also use the web site. That may seem like small potatoes but it's actually very nice to have that option if you don't feel like using a small screen. The worst thing is that the UI is not great. Drops and Duolingo stand out as the best for UI, and even Memrise has a nicer UI than this. During this time my Croatian vocabulary has expanded tremendously and I’m beginning to put together phrases on my own. I’m very happy with my progress so far, as I’m seeing results.
