### 4/5 — Very good

*2010-12-31, version 2.3.1*

More than I expected from word of the day app. Recording of voice very cool. Overall great app.

### 4/5 — Handy little app

*2010-11-19, version 0*

So I got this and figured it would be a very small sample of a paid app, to my surprise it has a lot of content. More content on fact than any other free app for learning Danish.
It's very handy for anyone who wants to learn but does not have the time or the money to put into learning a language right now.

### 4/5 — Amazing

*2010-09-19, version 0*

I love this app! It's helping a lot and I'm finding it very easy to learn the words (:

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Words

*2013-01-28*

The words are incorrect. i.e. dagstig was my word today supposedly meaning daytime but this is not a Danish word and hasn't been since 1920!

### 1/5 — Bugs in program

*2011-05-01*

Program has big issues. It freezes and doesn't ever load again. The upgraded $9.99 version does the same. So annoying because the program is pretty nice with all the words but it's no no good when it doesn't work. Free edition also doesn't really give you enough words per day to keep it interesting.

### 1/5 — The song is not good with the word

*2011-03-15*

Pfffffffff ikke god

### 1/5 — WordPower Lite - Danish.....Avoid

*2009-08-04, version 0*

Installed and the first 'Danish' word to learn was "MSN"....which is not a word and is the same in English.
The next day it would not even start up. No response to emails. No tech support.
A complete waste of time and Money.

### 1/5 — Not Even Worth $1

*2009-04-21*

Bought this app for fun, figuring it was only a dollar. At that price no one was more surprised than me that I'd feel ripped off but I do. I knew it would be limited (i.e. "lite") but this app is downright insulting. These are some of the words I got within the last 10 days:

English: iPhone -- Danish: iPhone
English: Berlin -- Danish: Berlin
English: First Class -- Danish: Første Klasse
English: Student -- Danish: Student
English: Ten Million -- Danish: Ti Millioner

While there is some value in hearing how the same word is pronouced across languages, it's of pretty limited value in this type of app and having nearly half of the words be pracitcally idenitical both written and spoken is extremely lazy making this app overpriced even at $1.

### 2/5 — good in theory...

*2011-12-08*

I really like the idea of this program, but the words I got were pretty random and the audio never worked for me. I could see this as a fun way to remind myself to learn for real...IF the audio worked

### 3/5 — Good

*2015-05-26*

I really enjoy the app, however, something happened with the daily words when I did an "upgrade". I see the new word, but I still have the word from 3 days ago. 😢
Before I did the "upgrade", I had a new word every day. I am not sure what happened.
The same thing happened to my french app.

### 3/5 — KC

*2011-04-10, version 2.4*

The app "does what it says on the tin" 99% of the time. The odd crash and mismatched translation can frustrate, but hey it's free! However I won't be upgrading to the full version in case those damned adverts persist!

### 3/5 — it's ok

*2011-02-05*

Too less words per day.

### 3/5 — Alright but could be better

*2010-10-22, version 0*

It gives new words each day but if you don't open the program each and every day you lose the word. It would be useful if you didn't have to do that. Coz it tells you in a message box new word but doesn't download unless you go into the program. It would be a lot better if it did this!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy way to learn

*2020-11-28*

This is an easy way to build up a vocabulary. Listening to the sentences helps me remember the words. One can learn as quickly or as slowly as one chooses to do so.

### 5/5 — Its good

*2017-06-18, version 5.0*

This app has helped me learn danish after I found out that I have danish blood

### 5/5 — Danish at Heart

*2015-04-27, version 4.5*

Great app. I enjoy learning different ways to say things

### 5/5 — Grrreat.

*2015-04-26, version 4.5*

Have enjoyed using this app in a casual way. Danish women can talk to me any time...I love the sound of their voices. Stop dreaming now...pay attention at the back...good app.

### 5/5 — Great app!!!

*2012-05-05*

I have the lite version. At first I was wondering why there was only one word there, but it gives you a new word every day for free forever. It has audio so you know how to pronounce the word, and a picture if you need it. It gives you useful words beyond the standard ones that don't come up so much with other apps, like "businessman" & "worry." If you already know the word, you don't have to add it to your wordbank.

### 5/5 — Word Power lite Danish

*2012-01-28*

I had the lite version and updated to the full version, and I'm pleased with it!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2011-03-23*

I especially like that this app will pronounce & let you hear your pronunciation.

### 4/5 — I like it so far!

*2019-11-12*

I just started using it from level really 0. I like it. Seems very easy and clear to me. My only wish that there is an additional slow pronunciation for people like me-at the beginning the speech seems very fast.

### 4/5 — Nice

*2017-07-14*

Enjoyed the app.

### 4/5 — Review

*2011-04-18*

It quit nice
