It covers all the main aspects of acquiring the basics of a new language. I wish, but doubt the software is out there yet, it could grade your verbal attempt rather than you making your own comparison. However, I have not found any other app that can do this, so it is one of the best I have tried, and I have tried a few. ### 4/5 — Good app *2013-05-29, version 3.1* Good app, fun to do. Having a dictionary helps with translation. Doesn't explain any grammar or sentence structure, but is a fun way of learning Dutch if you can learn grammar elsewhere. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrid app! Says "Free (normally $14.99)" and so it appears to be the whole program. It's not. It's one lesson. If you aren't going to offer your program for free, at least be honest about it. Why is this advertised as free when other languages are correctly labelled as $15? Notice how the $15 languages say no hidden fees and this does not? I would have considered trying and buying this app for other languages that i want to learn if it were not for the deceptive marketing, I took the free Dutch version just to see how the app works. Deceptive marketing does not sit well with me and I will not be purchasing any apps from this company. ### 1/5 — Yup, it's a scam *2011-12-30, version 1.3* They should have said that only the first lesson is free. To get the rest of the lessons you have to buy them at $1.99 each or $15 for the whole set. This is the most useful that I've found. It was worth the money.Most of the apps are just vocab. This one uses useful sentences, things you would want to say. It will actually allow you to start speaking.
