I love how you have the voices but it would be much more useful if it had sentence building and other things like present tense. Other then that it is very helpful great job!

Love this app. Going on an exchange in Faroe Islands and this is great practice.

Faroese is a fascinating language related to both Old Norse and Icelandic and is used by about 90% of the population in the Faroe Islands. Interestingly, the name Føroyar (Faroe Islands) is derived from old Norse and means ‘Sheep Islands’, a name given by settlers arriving from Norway in the 9th century. Extremely limited vocabulary in just 9 “categories”. Do not expect to learn Faroese using this app. Do not expect learn enough of the language to “get by”.  Not worth the purchase.

**Developer response:** Our uTalk Classic app contains around 250 words of phrases, all voiced by native Faroese speakers.  The words were all selected as being the best starting out point for beginners - eg greetings, food and drink, colours and numbers - and the app includes fun games to help you remember what you’ve learned. I'm going to the Faroes as an exchange student in less than three months. It was very suddenly announced, and I was distressed to find there are few to no resources for learning Faroese. However, this app turned out to be just what I need! A few uses and I can already pronounce some things. This app alone won't make you fluent, but it's a great start!

There are almost no Faroese-English dictionaries, so I had high hopes for this. It IS fun and easy to use, but after the "first words" section a lot of the content is redundant. It would be better giving a lot more useful words and phrases than numbers 1-20, a dozen different colours, time telling etc, which few people are likely to learn or want. And since there are NO trains on the Faroes why translate the word?!
Expensive for what it is, but with more thought could be great!
