## What is Learn French (Hello?

Learn French (Hello-Hello) is the FUN way to learn a Language on the Go!

French – Learn French (Hello-Hello) "for iPhone" is a full-fledged language course with 30 LESSONS developed in collaboration with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), so you can be assured that these lessons follow an effective research-based methodology. All lessons are conversational based on realistic dialogues and situations, rather than a collection of out-of-context words and phrases.

All the content is stored in the app so that you have great responsiveness when you are ready to learn a language. You do not need to be connected to Wi-Fi or 3G networks to run the app. With Hello-Hello French you will be able to do the lessons and practice vocabulary anytime, anywhere developing all the skills you need to communicate in a foreign language. All lessons were recorded by native speakers so you can learn the correct pronunciation.

With French – Learn French (Hello-Hello) "for iPhone" you can also:

-Practice vocabulary with more than 300 words and phrases using our FLASHCARDS feature! (Please note that we will be adding more words and phrases in upcoming updates.)

-Save your own NOTES form any lesson.

-Full localization: You can see the entire app, including the translations of the lessons and words lists in your native language! Languages available: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese and Portuguese.

Note about our methodology: At first, our lessons might seem advanced for some people but there is a purpose behind it. Our lessons are structured to give learners the ability to communicate effectively with others. If the learner is new to the language, it will be necessary to spend more time learning the basic phrases in order to begin to gain proficiency in the language. For those who already know other related languages, the time factor may not be as great to learn the basics. Beginners need to go slowly and may need to do the activities several times before they gain a comfort level in using them. And remember: The more time you spend doing the exercises, the more proficient you will become!

CONTACT US: We are constantly trying to improve the app and take feedback from our users very seriously. The app has a “Contact Us” icon so that you can contact us easily, so please do not hesitate and send us an email if you have any questions, comments, complaints or suggestions.

-- Try before you buy You can check out our content for free first and buy the rest later if you like it.

### 1/5 — Not updated

*2026-01-18, version 4.1*

Very difficult to learn , takes you from one page to another

### 4/5 — Great app to learn French but too greedy people

*2019-07-12, version 3.6*

Only one free course stop being so greedy!

### 3/5 — Good App

*2018-05-03, version 3.6*

I like it very much and I would give it five stars save for a couple of items. I can’t seem to get the sound to work with my blue tooth devices and there is no way to adjust the audio playback. I mean it always goes fast and most of the time I can’t get the words out fast enough. Other than that I do not regret buying it.

I’m very much looking forward to the updates.

### 1/5 — Can’t Restore Purchase No Customer Service

*2018-04-22, version 3.6*

I paid for the full version after some updates it doesn’t work anymore. Emailed 3 times no answer at all. Apple Store takes no responsibility either. Rip off don’t buy!

### 2/5 — LinguoAmateur

*2018-02-09*

I’ve reached to Lesson 16. So far, I have spotted quite a lot of “glitches/errors”, in particular, from Lesson 11 onwards, for examples:

Part 1, L4, “Read it” - there is a question that just can’t be answered right regardless of whatever bubbles you tap;

Part 2, L12, 13, & 16, “Situation” - score/% bar just doesn’t show any progress after you go thru the section;

Part 2, L16 - the “Text” section is missing re the sentences said by the male speaker.

I noticed too that the German App also carries the same mistake in L4.

Hm, I’m waiting to check out wether there would be similar glitches in their Italian & Spanish Apps.

On top, these Apps don’t provide any grammatical guidance/info, and there are far too many repetitions in the “Vocab” section.

For those reasons mentioned above, I could only give 2.5 out of 5 stars - barely passed ;-b

### 1/5 — Disappointing. This turned into a tourist app.

*2018-02-03, version 3.6*

The old app was more objective oriented and had more to offer in the free app. I could go right to a category and build my vocabulary. For the $20, it was the best alternative to Rosetta Stone. Now, the old app is not supported and this new one is wasting my short time with a dating conversation scenario. It should be a separate app and offer a little more if I’m going to fork over another $20. Please bring back the old app.

### 5/5 — Très Bon

*2017-03-02, version 3.5*

Very well made app with great features.

### 5/5 — French

*2016-02-21, version 3.5*

Excellent app, I am enjoying it and I think it is very didactic and easy. I would certainly recommend to anyone. C'est parfait!

### 5/5 — good

*2015-04-14, version 3.5*

nice app for the beginners

### 5/5 — Best language learning app

*2014-11-24, version 3.5*

It's a bit of mystery to me why more people haven't caught on to Hello Hello, but if you are reading this, rest assured, you've found the right app. I'm a Spanish teacher and I first used Hello Hello to learn Mandarin and now I'm working on French. I've checked out just about every language learning app out there and Hello Hello is the only one that has taken the time to apply proven language learning methodology correctly, and, most importantly, it works. There's nothing terribly flashy about the app; it focusses on 30 high frequency conversations situations and then guides you through learning them through listening, reading, speaking and writing. It's really that simple, but you won't find another app out there that does this. Why? My guess is that it isn't all that easy. People seem to love flash card apps, spaced repetition and games, and I suppose that is because they are easy and fun, but those apps really can't teach you the language; they can only reinforce bits and pieces of it. Hello Hello forces you to bridge the gaps on your own. The conversations aren't particularly exciting, but they explore each topic thoroughly and give you a ton to learn. The trick is that you have do most of the work on your own. You need to figure out the grammar, make the connections, learn the vocab. But, like it or not, that is the best way to make it stick. This app gets you ready to communicate with other people in the language you are learning, and I've found no others that do it nearly as well as Hello Hello.
