I like this app and it does what it says in the description, however sometimes when you click the play button to have the text read it will sometimes lose its place and then the highlighted text isn’t what’s being read.  Sometimes the reading will start over while the highlighted text continues to scroll like it’s following along when it’s not.

There are different ways to use this app but I find reading and listening to a short article then repeating it sentence by sentence is really helping my pronunciation. Some interesting articles on this app and it works well. I am definitely glad I purchased this.

I just started using the app, got a prompt to rate Readle and here is my first 15-minutes impression. I am at A2 and it’s terrific so far. I understand the stories, but they stretch me and I like the quizzes, grammar, and word work that supplement the stories.  The read aloud is very useful too.

A great app to learn both vocabulary and pronunciation!  The ability to listen and change speeds has helped improve my auditory skills!  Well worth the price and it grows with you challenging you to advance!

Great app for learning to hear and read French. Smart features that are very helpful to understand grammar and vocabulary. I think it’s better than the gamified apps.

I was using the free version of this app and decided to try the 7 day tree trial to unlock all the articles. I clicked the advertised 7 day trial and I was charged for a full year subscription, over $100 CAD. What a scam!

I’ve tried over several days to subscribe. I just get a spinning wheel for hours that says ‘Loading’ but it never ‘loads’. I gave up and used another app instead. Time waster.

I have been studying french and obviously all apps are a cash grab, and this one is no different, it is helpful for vocab and comprehension but seriously? 50 dollars is the lowest subscription, i paid for it as i am in a speedy learning process, but if you have time, really do not waste your money lol

This is a wonderful app, far better than most language learning apps you would find out there, it is graded by levels and has a suitable variety of materials that would not leave you bored. With that being said, there are a couple of improvements that could make the experience better :

Introducing the ability to search for a story and better still to sort stories by the year that they were published. Having to scroll all the way down to 2021 for instance to read a story that excites me is tiresome.

Improving the narration voice - earlier narrations sounded more human like (I believe), however i can understand why they might want to switch to a robot voice, I have no problem with that but it would be better if the narration were smoother. Although I must admit that their voice narration is much better than other apps i have used in the past.

Those are my recommendations.

It would be better if a person could save some of the grammar, or copy and paste, like the subjunctive.  It would also be good to search for certain grammar. It is an expensive app, and it’s not perfect

### 5/5 — Excellent Supplement to Everyday Learning

I am a beginner level French language learner. I have found the app to be very useful for a quick 10-15 minute learning exercise. The stories are only a paragraph long, which is perfect if you want to get a quick lesson. There are a wide variety of stories written at different skill levels. The stories are supplemented by a quiz, list of key words, and grammar explanations. You can listen to the audio at three different speeds, which is ESSENTIAL to learning the native tongue. You can select on each word to get a direct translation if you want to get in the weeds. You can also practice your vocabulary on words you learned, which is a nice plus. My only issue so far is that there is sometimes a glitch when I try to repeat the audio, so I have to reopen the story. It could just be the version of my iPhone 15 though.
