But I must say this program is really well thought out. The vocabulary categories section is totally flexible. I can add words to any category (for example, I added a few new animals to the pre-existing animal category). It also allowed me to create entirely new categories and to download a long list of words. For example, I am currently studying -er verbs, so I made a category and imported about 130 -er verbs. And I keep finding more and more cool features to the app. I’ve just started using hands-free mode which is great in the car. I have been using the app for about two weeks now and have a vocabulary of about 300 words (from nearly 0). To the developers of this app, well done!! Merci! ### 5/5 — Spaced Repetition with Built-in Vocab Sets *2026-02-19* Choose pre-created vocab sets such as 100 top words, animals, etc… Each word has a picture and example sentences with translations and audio. You can also add your own words if you like. Review by spelling, multiple choice or flipping the flash card to check your answer. It has the best flashcard system I’ve ever encountered. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because if you want to use the app on more than one device without losing your data, you have to manually sync your data to the cloud after each session and then manually restore the data to your second device before continuing on that device. I use the app on my iPhone during the day and my iPad in the evening, and more than once I have accidentally failed to sync and lost progress data. Made hundreds of my own cards, and it became virtually useless when I updated to iOS 17.3. There are no longer any pictures associated with my existing cards, and the picture field has disappeared when creating new cards. The only thing it could improve on is to have more vocabulary after the 3000 most frequently used words.
