For example class is classe and not lezzione. Toilet is toilette and not bagno. Bagno is bath. Also it uses new Italian words in sentences which hasn’t been introduced previously and you are expected to know the correct spelling of a word without seeing it previously such as the spelling for elevator in Italian. The ending of each lesson is such a waste of time to watch as the printing of the words are so small you can hardly make them out. I’m so sorry I paid for a whole year in advance. Mondly ist generell gut , aber ich würde ein paar Sachen verändern: fangen mit Geld an , das Geld was da für Pro Geburten würd ist genügend und auch voll ok , aber ich würde dies nicht tuen . 2. Wenn ich ein Tag auslasse , weis ich nicht diese Lektion, das ist sch…e , aber das positive ist das ich es wenigstens lerne ❤️und ich möchte einfach entspannen an einem Tag und nicht lernen, aber meine Tage behalten . It is fun. ### 3/5 — Semi better than Duolingo *2024-03-26, version 7.1.13* I do like that I’m not kicked off lessons for making mistakes and you can click on a word and get far more information than Duolingo. The lessons are quicker, less consuming, and more friendly. Free language learning always has its qualms but I do notice quite a few discrepancies as far as pronunciation. Some of the words are missing the “e” sound at the end during the lessons but give the full sounds at the very end. That’s weird. I wanted to learn Italian differently than another app teaching you, and it is better but I’m disappointed not having speech practice. Pronunciation is important and this app doesn’t seem to care about that. At least the free version or trial version doesn’t have it. I hope it will be added in the future ### 5/5 — Great app *2023-12-26, version 7.1.13* I love this app!! Learned way faster than I thought I would. Within weeks I could say sentences in Italian!! ### 2/5 — Frustrating Translations *2023-11-29, version 7.1.13* This app needs to be better about accepting translations/answers that are functionally correct but differ from the rigid (and sometimes inaccurate) translations it is expecting. Prompt: write the following in English "Faccia un giro della città." My translation (marked incorrect): "Take a tour of the city" App "correct" answer: "Go on a city tour." In this real-life case, my answer is actually correct. More so than the app's expected answer. Far too often, my answer is linguistically correct, but it marks me as incorrect. Sometimes,the app expects an exact word-for-word translation, other times it uses a colloquial translation. There is not one lesson that has not required me to "FLAG" the response. But who, if anyone, is reading that feedback?
