There are a lot of different ways to study, and for all ‘N’ levels of study for Japanese. This app is great for studying, quizzing, and it’s enormous variety of material to use makes it incredibly helpful. ### 5/5 — highly recommended *2020-11-19, version 1.14* Out of all the Japanese language learning apps I've tried (and there is a loooot!) this is the only one I've kept. It has all levels N5-N1 from vocabulary, grammar, tests, etc. and provides some explanation or examples for words/phrases/kanji. Also, sample usages and sentences can be played with audio. You can opt to study in any way you want! *This is free, and sometimes with ads (although bearable, not really annoying) *Suggestion for developer: I would loooove it more if you could add different test types like by listening, reading, combination, etc. ### 5/5 — Best Japanese learning app *2020-09-23* This app really helps to learn Japanese. Vocabulary has the usage sentence embedded within and also has video lectures to understand and practise. It usually takes a bit of time to get used to app layout and how one can personalise their way to enhance the learning experience. I definitely don't mind to buy such app, but its incredibly hard! I found some mistranslation/incorrect definition in some lessons of MNN I vocabularies. It’s also difficult to contact or send report about this error because they just make you report to their facebook page but no one replies. It would be better if they have an easier way to contact them directly thru the app to report this kind of issues or make an edit function in the app so that we can edit the incorrect words by ourselves. ### 4/5 — Perhaps the best app for learning Japanese out there! *2026-07-27* Great app; thank you for building this and helping out students without access to formal classrooms! This app is nicely designed and breaks down the JLPT into sections with vocab. The vocab is also audible and even comes with multiple sentence examples which also help a lot with memorization.
