### 3/5 — I’m confused

*2026-08-24*

I love the idea and the format but I paid for a year and have done all the lessons. Will there be more lessons? Meanwhile I’m going through the basic review information. I just want there to be more lessons so i can get better and better. I’m confused because I thought I would be able to go deeper into the Japanese language as the year progressed.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your feedback and for supporting ManabuLab with a yearly subscription. Yes, absolutely, more lessons will be added. We are continuously working on new content that will help learners progress beyond the current lessons and explore Japanese in greater depth. We understand that you want a clear path to keep improving throughout your subscription, and expanding the course is one of our main priorities. Thank you for your patience. There is much more to come!

### 4/5 — Quite good, nice interface, but much can be improved

*2026-05-25*

I really like learning in this app, the interface is reminiscent of DuoLingo with clean animations, but there is still much to be desired. There is no romaji letters to help remind you how something. Is pronounced, the review sessions seem to only include words/signs you got wrong, so if you guessed all hiragana in a section right, they won’t be quizzed again, which is not ideal, because even if you guessed them right in the very short learning session, you might still need to review them in a different context with other hiragana mixed in, in order to commit them to memory. I still like the app, and will continue using it for a while, but it has its limitations. Unfortunately some hiragana and other important parts are locked and will only be available with a paid membership, so you want be able to learn all hiragana. Also not great.

**Developer response:** Hello! Thank you so much for your honest feedback. We really appreciate it. We’ll keep improving ManabuLab based on suggestions like yours.

Just a quick note: you can always practice and review Hiragana and Katakana using the Kana Quiz on the Quizzes page. You can access it from the three-dot menu at the bottom right of the screen.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!

### 5/5 — Simple and easy

*2026-06-13*

Very clean format. If I want to review a certain section, it’s easy to do. I can effectively do that. If I only want to focus on a section of words or alphabetical words, I can do that. I’m not being pushed to learn a ton of words at once or constantly add new words before I’m ready. It’s worth it so far for me.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your honest feedback!
