### 4/5 — I love it!

*2018-08-31, version 5.0*

I downloaded this today and paid ten bucks for the full version. Way better deal than the subscription ones that are crazy expensive! And I’ve already learned some useful phrases! Good app!

### 2/5 — Doesn't work

*2016-12-28, version 5.0*

The interface looks slick and well-designed; unfortunately the audio pronunciations don't work. You hit the audio button next to a word and nothing happens. Grr...

### 4/5 — Good app

*2016-05-06, version 4.8*

Enjoying use it

### 3/5 — Great for learning vocab!

*2015-03-06, version 4.2*

This app is really useful for expanding your vocabulary, and the sentences putting it in context are great, but it would be good to have some exercises for using the words for repetition/reinforcement.

### 4/5 — Learning norgé

*2014-12-14, version 4.2*

Good app

### 4/5 — Very good aide to learning

*2014-09-19, version 4.2*

I have enjoyed this app for a good while. It's educational without being stuffy. Let's say that this is an entertaining method of learning - and that's a good thing!

### 3/5 — Real nice app!

*2014-07-15, version 4.2*

I'm an Australian who has always had some sort of urge to go to the UK and Scandinavia. There wasn't many apps to help me learn this unique language and this one looked to show from it's screenshots to be the most user friendly to me. Really liking it so far and the only room for improvements would be:
1. The Sign up when you first get the app was a little confusing (but nothing major) so if it could be a little simplified somehow that would be good.
2. It would be really cool if there was a section where you choose a playlist of words to be played to you like listening to an album of music. You could make it so the person reads the word to you in Norwegian and then goes through how to pronounce it slowly then says why it means it English and puts it in a sentence.
3. Show how to pronounce the words in a slow easy way (I know it sounds silly but try do it as if you where talking to a baby) because it's hard for people not use to that language and that are completely new to say the words the same.

Thanks and great job :))

### 4/5 — Awesome app but..

*2014-04-03, version 4.2*

Great app and a good way to learn the language I bought the full version but for the love of god please I beg that you add to where a part to where we also type in the words as well. It would be pointless to learn how to speak it but not practice typing or writing it. Make my ten bucks worth this awesome app!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2020-09-01, version 5.0*

Absolutely worthless. Has exactly one word and takes 5+ minutes to sync. Tap on today’s word and you have to press, hold, tap and ask the universe before it actually goes to the screen, if ever. Continuously asks if I want to restore which I don’t. And on top of that no update in over 4 years is beyond any level of ridiculousness.

### 1/5 — Blah

*2013-07-23, version 3.2.3*

Terrible, especially compared to the Polish version of the app, which is fantastic. This on has a poor layout, the sound only worked in English and there were no other options! Definitely needs work...

### 1/5 — Still doesn't work!

*2012-10-17, version 3.2.3*

Despite the poor reviews from several months ago, the developers still haven't fixed this app...even though an updated version was released recently. I know how to pronounce the word "chair" and even I know the Norwegian is "stole"...not NEW. Waste of time...

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2012-08-08, version 3.2.3*

If it's not free don't say free.

### 1/5 — Or not!

*2012-03-21, version 3.1.1*

I paid for the upgrade. But when I go to write a review about it, turns out I have to purchase the full one again? I want my $10 back or I want the full version. I really don't think that is to much to ask for.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2011-10-06, version 3.1.1*

Incorrect translations. It seems that the word "new" which means new has million of possible translations. Some of mines are: long sleeved, ticket booth, seven hundred, power outlet , where aré u from, sweat suit from the app store's print screens it means also aisle seat. I am learning Norwegian and I really don't believe that new may have so many translations.
Also I got lot of words like Seoul, Harstad, Bodø, Islam, chili, Toronto. The translation is the same word, most of this are cities. Apple should remove it.

### 1/5 — What happened?

*2011-08-10, version 3.1*

U used to give this app a much higher score. But now, I'm giving this a star. The audio doesn't work anymore. Plus there's a lot of new words that doesn't have a translation. I'm hoping that the developers will fix these things.

### 1/5 — Don't like it

*2011-08-03, version 3.1*

I don't know why but I I've tried to download this two or three times. When I do. It doesn't seem to work. It will only show one word and that's it...

### 1/5 — No sound

*2011-08-01, version 3.0.2*

It does not work. If I could give it 0 stars I would. There is no sound at all.

### 1/5 — Why the shoddy update?

*2011-05-31, version 3.0*

Liked the old version better as this one does not have sound. It is annoying, I thing it's supposed to have sound but for some reason won't work.
