Terrible intro to Objective-C
The only good thing I can say about this app so far is that the developer actually tried to make a tutorial for Objective-C. Unfortunately, it’s really terrible, and I don’t think the developer knows how to teach people these new concepts accurately. As someone who has learned quite a bit of JavaScript and knows a lot of basic concepts, it seems as though in some areas the developer was trying to teach an audience who already has a basic knowledge of JavaScript. Which is cool, until they start going through the baby steps of “What is an int?” “What does the plus sign mean?” and it’s confusing exactly who they’re trying to teach. And then, in the Questions section, there are a bunch that are either flat out confusing or are based on things we have not already been taught! It’s so frustrating when one question asks you what a plus sign is, and then the next question asks you to write a friggin’ method in Objective C. The cherry on top of it all is the English is someone bad in some areas, and in others the writing makes it very hard to understand the material. Some things may even be flat out wrong! So, I’d recommend going with a different Objective-C tutorial.
Also, if I may ask, what on earth is the point of making an ACCOUNT with the app?? That’s completely unnecessary, we all have Apple ID’s, it’s fine.
