Be aware this app uses the Joseph Smith Translation (JST), a Latter-day Saint (Mormon) text that alters scripture e.g. Romans 4:5 (flips meaning of justification), and 1 Corinthians 15:40 (adds unsupported “telestial” degree of glory), along with lengthy non-manuscript additions in Genesis. These revisions introduce doctrines foreign to historic Protestant/Catholic teaching and lack grounding in ancient biblical manuscripts.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! Just to clarify, this isn’t an LDS-specific Bible app. We currently offer around nine Bible translations, with the King James Version as the default. Our goal is to make the app useful to as many people who study the Bible as possible, across Christian traditions. We currently include translations that are copyright-free or openly licensed, and hope to add additional licensed translations in the future. Since Latter-day Saints study the Bible as well, we’ve included resources useful to them too. Users are free to choose the Bible translation and resources that best fit their faith and study preferences.

The amount of content this app (and the website) provides is astounding. You, sir, are amazing. Thank you for this! I am cruising through the features and am positive I haven’t experienced them all yet but I can tell you, for me, this is taking the spot of my YouVersion and BLB apps! 

Dropped a star because it’s missing NLT and NIV but includes the Joseph Smith translation which should be removed.

### 5/5 — Works Great with VoiceOver!

I downloaded this because I enjoy the developer's podcasts and I figured I could trust this to help me learn more about the Savior. I teach a class of 13- and 14-year-olds on the first and third Sunday, and this app will inevitally prove hugely helpful. Best of all, the developer, in the spirit of the Savior, seems to have made efforts to include blind and visually impaired users. While not all of this is completely accessible, (some things appear unlabeled to VoiceOver), the vast majority of it works extremely well with the built-in screen reader. I'll always wonder whether the developer deliberately planned for VoiceOver access or just got lucky. Either way, I'm glad I can use this as well as any sighted user might. I suspect He to whom this app is dedicated is pleased with the spirit of inclusion. How sad it would have been if an app dedicated to learning more about the Savior also excluded those who can't visually read the screen. That would have been an unfortunate conffradiction indeed!

I love how in-depth all of the study guides are sometimes understanding the Bible is hard for me and this explains so much of the context and background and helps me understand what’s going on. I feel like there’s finally hope for me too read through the whole Bible and actually understand it.
