I went into the app and the first thing I did was to turn off the mute in the app. The sound effects work just fine and I can hear them great. What I’m confused about is why I can’t hear the word themselves?? Like I said. I can hear the sound effects just fine it just won’t pronounce the word. This app gives you the chance to learn and practice both. I can learn better when I know how to say the word. ### 3/5 — Would be great if it worked properly. *2023-05-25* The app is well enough I just don’t like that it says you can hear it and learn how to pronounce stuff however it doesn’t, all it does is light up, no sound comes out, and when you email them for help with it they wont respond. **Developer response:** Hi Heidi, the only two things I can think of are make sure that the sound is not disabled in the app's settings, and that your app sound is turned up. Thank you for making it. 🙏🏻 ### 5/5 — Free yet fantastic *2024-05-16* First of all, this app “Learn Old Norse” is free. You have nothing to lose by downloading it and trying it. Secondly, it’s well-put-together and easy to navigate. You even get to hear how each consonant, vowel, accented vowel etc is pronounced. There are also questions to quiz yourself with multiple choice answers. Example question taken directly from the app: What is the meaning of the Old Norse adverb ‘i sundr’?
